Welcome and Karibu to Msafiri Cottages a family run guest house located 45 minutes drive from Mombasa - Moi International Airport and only 5 minutes walking distance from the Indian Ocean.

Msafiri is ideal for backpackers, independent and overland travellers, and all those in search of a tranquil place where to relax and plan the next destination.

The seclude location away from bars, big resorts and overcrowded beaches makes it perfect for those in search of adventure, people who enjoy walking and explore the surrounding, and who are happy to stay in a simple but secure and clean place.

Msafiri is born with concept of simplicity, security and value for money.

If you are a traveller and want to stay in a budget family guest house, away from all the hassle and bustle and are happy to stay in a very quiet and remote location then you have found the right place.

Accommodation Information

Msafiri Cottages is a guest house designed to offer a quite and relaxing stay to help you unwind from the hustle and bustle of busy schedule of life. We have 6 cottages (a total of 24 rooms) all en-suit with private toilet and shower. All rooms are spacious fan-cooled, mosquito net, simple decorations and walk-in wardrobe.

With no television or telephone, you can enjoy your freedom from these modern distractions. Each room has veranda offering shade, where you can read, write your diary, arrange itinerary for your next destination or simply enjoy the quietness of the calming surroundings.

Location Information

Msafiri Cottages is located 30 Km North mainland of Mombasa and 34 Km from Moi International Airport or Mombasa to Malindi road.

The beautiful and tranquil beach called Kikambala is only 5 minutes "walking" distance from our guesthouse.

We are in a very seclude place with no bars, restaurants and other big resorts close to us however Kikambala small village is only 10 minutes walk away where you will be able to scroll along souvenir shops and enjoy a beers at the local.
