Liked: beautiful home cooked meals at night - rice- chicken - mezze - hommus-saffron rice etc - lovely family run type place. Very friendly and helpful with organising taxis etc. good sleep - not noisy close to bank atm and post office - just to sleep - good.

Liked: The manager is very helpful and will drive you to Petra fro free. He also used to be a guide in Petra and so he knows all the cool places.

Liked: Although it isn't right by Petra, Naser gave people a ride down to the Visitor's center at least once a day, if not more often. He was also able to suggest side trips and itineraries around the Southern region of Jordan, and arranged them for the guests who requested them. Plus, the heater in the common area was extremely welcome, as snow is not unheard of in Wadi Musa. Thanks for a great stay!

Liked: Nasser, the owner, was extremely personable and helpful. He was always there and ready to drive us down the hill to the Petra entrance. He called taxis for us when we needed it. He got us a discount for the Turkish Bath next door. He made sure our room was secure and we had all the tea or Nescafe we wanted. They waited on us! Very helpful and nice.

Liked: While the accommodations were fine, the best thing by far about this hostel is the hospitality. Nasr, the owner, was incredibly helpful and welcoming throughout our stay at Petra Gate, and made our time in Jordan really pleasant. I highly recommend staying at this hostel.

Liked: Nasser the owner makes this place awesome. The hostel is in a good area and the restaurant has great food. Nasser will play the oud and the tablah and serve you tea and make you feel welcome. We had a great time in Petra and i can reccommend this hotel to anyone.

Liked: Nasser and his staff made all the difference. Nasser is a most kind and generous man. He also is very honest in recommending other tour packages. He has saved me lots of money in my search for a trip to Wadi Rum. The camp and tour he recomended for Wadi Rum is amazing and of excellent value. Also i really enjoyed the hospitality Nasser gave us, he is kind and caring and I had a great time there. The atmosphere of Petra Gate is like home away from home. I just loved it there Thanks Nasser for looking after me...
