Liked: The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The accommodation was authentic and a real bedouin experience. The evening meal was excellent.

Disliked: The owner was not friendly at all, which was not what we had expected after reading the reviews, he was just interested in our money. There was no entertainment in the evening, as we were the only 3 guests that night.

Liked: Very warm and hospitable staff who go out of their way to ensure their guests are happy and looked after. Basic jordanian style breakfast & tasty BBQ dinner! Try to car pool with other guests on the 4x4 trip, it will save you loads of money (80JD per car). I explored on my own for 2 hours but didn't see much and it got very laborious (the distances are very far and sand is soft), the 4x4 trip is a much wiser option. Wadi Rum is an incredible place of serenity and natural beauty.

Disliked: Lack of light in the bathroom. Had to shower with a torch wedged under my chin. A bit pricey for a campsite but the service received and experience made it worthwhile.

Liked: The hospitality is outstanding! Concerning Wadi Rum itself - the sky at night is amazing plus the silence and peacefulness of this place. It is also worth getting up early to watch the sunrise. Enjoyed the microlight ride which really completed this excellent stay. Thanks!

Liked: It's a nice spot, which is only available for small groups. It's authentiek, and the family of Obeit are very friendly and helpfull. The food is really nice.

Disliked: The advertisement makes you expect more luxery than the reality is.. No towels were provided, but you only know about this when you are there. It's not a problem, but they should inform you in advance.

Liked: Nail, son of Obeid, was very nice and helpful. The jeepsafari was great and riding a camel into the sunset in the desert is amazing. We had a wonderful time! The dinner was also very good.

Disliked: Even though we had a great time, it's a lot of money. We think you can have a same expierence for less money (book it when you get there or check other websites)

Liked: The absolute silence and Bedouin hospitality. It was also great to just spend time sitting by myeslf in the shady spot suggested doing nothing at all, especially at sunrise and sunset. The cost was very reasonable compared to other camps although you do need to allow extra for jeep tours or camel rides if you want these too, eg 35 Jordanian dinars for a two hour jeep tour and JD 80 for a full day. This was the only place in an month's travel in the Middle East for me where there was shock expressed and a refusal of extra money for tips. Be aware that the camp spends about $US130 every 6 days on bringing in water for the tourist bathroom. There are some flies in the middle of the day so take repellant if they bother you but they were not nearly as bad as Aussie flies. I hope one day they can manage to acquire a small telescope as the stars were amazing.

Liked: After reservation we noticed that we got the date wrong. It was no problem to change it to 1 day earlier. Meeting after call and sms at the visitorcenter. Nail, son of the owner took care of us. Great place for the camp. Great Camelride of 1 1/2 hours. Nice traditional meals and endless tea. Around the campfire we had a waterpipe and the family were playing music and were singing. We used the private tents which were clean. Next day we had a 4x4 drive through the desert without any hurry. Altogether a great experience thanks to the hospitality of the family and friends.

Liked: We stayed 2 nights at Obeids camp. It was a amazing experience. We met in Obeid and his family wonderful and upmost hospitable people. The atmosphere was unique, like being part of a big family. We enjoyed beautiful moments in the desert. Unforgettable the camel rides in the sunset and the great jeep tour with Obeid the best singing tour guide we could imagine. Perfect location of the camp with lovely food and romantic accommodation. As it is a small camp with very private and individual service, it is not expensive at all. A fantastic place to stay we would definitely recommend. Thank you Obeid, and family for the unforgettable time. Michael + Evelyn

Liked: Offers a true bedouin desert experience in a family type environment. Food was typical, prepared the original way, accomodations were great and our hosts, Obeid and his son Nail displayed the utmost hospitality bedouins are renowned for. We truly enjoyed our stay at the camp and thank them again.

Liked: My friends and I stayed at Obeids camp for one night only but it was a wonderful experience and so comfortable. The tents are comfortable and clean and Obeid and his family are so hospitable and extremely fun and friendly. I would highly recommend this Bedouin camp!

Liked: This was an amazing place to stay. It was run by a warm, friendly and knowledgeable guy: Obeid is a true bedouin and he runs the camp according to genuine bedouin hospitality. He made me feel part of his family. I laughed and sang, ate really good food and met up with some fantastic people during my stay. It was an unforgettable experience.
