We are newly renovated hostel opening at the end of March 2009 in the city center of Yokohama. We refit and remodeled floors for guests with user-friendly facilities and inviting atmosphere.

“Porto” meas a port in Italy has inspired us to design and build this hostel. The core concept of Hostel “Porto Yokohama” is to provide the place for all who enjoy travel freely. We wish “Porto” to welcome you and help your travel experience in the heart of Yokohama.

According to your travel style and budget, please choose your accommodation from 5 various types of rooms, dormitory for 4 guests, private single, twin, double and double deck.

All rooms are equipped with western style bed, crystal TV, AC, reading light and plug.
Lavatory, Bath room, Coin-operated shower, Guest kitchen and Laundry are shared facilities and well designed for out guests.

You could enjoy and take a rest at our comfortable lounge where you could communicate and make friends from around the world.

All rooms are equipped with western style bed, flat screen TV, AC, reading light and plug.

Location Information

Chinatown (Chukagai) -
This is one of the most famous parts of Yokohama, and it is definitely one of the liveliest. Walking along the streets you will feel as if you are in Hong Kong, with the colorful gates, lanterns, and store fronts. The smell is also very non-Japanese with the smell of Chinese food wafting in the air. Many people come here to eat the food, but beware the portions are small for the price you will pay. There are also many cute little shops all around selling Chinese goods.

Motomachi -
This is a shopping street that looks like a part of Ginza that has been relocated to Yokohama. You will find many expensive brand label stores here, and many people shopping.

Yamashita Park -
This is a park that runs just along the Tokyo Bay. From this park you will have a stunning view of the Bay Bridge.
