Liked: We only stayed for one night, we arrived early on the overnight bus from Kyoto. Check-in was not until 3pm and we got there at about 7am, we had to wait in a small computer/wash room until 9am so we were able to then put our bags in storage until the late check-in!! The room we were given had just enough space for the bunk bed (even though we had booked a double). Paper thin walls and drunk giggling girls meant we got little sleep! Would stay somewhere else next time!!

Liked: The cleanliness of the place was really exceptional. I also appreciated that the staff were not just limited to speaking English and Japanese but Mandarin as well.

Liked: You get a coupon for a welcome drink for the bar when you check in. There are a lot of people meeting up in the bar at night; a good place to meet other travelers. Also some Japanese people that want to practice their English frequent the bar as well. A very nice addition to the hostel.It's too bad the bar (which also servers as a communal area) closes down between roughly 12 and 15 as the rooms are a bit small. The computers are slow, but the wifi is ok.

Liked: great place!! you feel like being home at mum`s. we stayed at the 2nd buildung tho, dont know about the main building. definately recommended!! easy to find. great location.

Liked: Bedrooms were small and uncomfortable, but clean enough. The elevator was broken. There were no shared computers in the hostel, and the wireless connection was slow. The atmosphere in general was not exciting, even at the bar. There is no JR railway station close to the hostel, only a subway station, which means you cannot use the JP Pass to get there. The only good thing is that there is a good number of shops and restaurants right at the other side of the bridge. In summary, the place is cheap but not really worth it.

Liked: The hostel has a proper bar, which is not only good for meeting other travellers and relaxing but cheap for Tokyo too. The 4 person dorm rooms offer slightly more privacy than normal hostel dorm rooms which have twice as many beds in.The only downside at this hostel was the thin walls, so you could hear people in the other rooms quite easily.

Liked: Location good as nice to be in quiet suburb, however great transport links. The twin rooms were very small & the walls paper thin, luckily our neighbours were quiet!

Liked: Apart from the beds being a little hard and creaky, this was an excellent place to stay. Very cheap, and good value despite being in Asakusa. The staff here are helpful, and the lady on the front desk when I arrived was very sweet. Dont let the location put you off though. I stayed 2 nights in Shinjuku and can see no point paying premium for hostels in the midst of all the action. If you go out partying, generally you stay till the Metro starts up again at 5am and its only a 30 min journey to Shibuya on the Ginza Line.

Liked: great place to meet other travellers and local japanese people at the bar. very friendly staff. good kitchen. comfortable beds. Rooms were nice and clean and easily heated. the halls and bathrooms were cold and a bit dingy. Has a very 'backpackers' vibe which you may or may not like. free internet. location ok.

Liked: They have really awesome staffs whom are all very helpful and give very good tips on travelling ard Japan. They make sure that we feel as though we are staying at home, and the bar provided gave us opportunity to make more friends and allow us to meet the local people as well as other travellers.
