Location Information

Ikebukuro, another major shopping center, is dominated by the giant Seibu and Tobu department stores. This is an area of recreational facilities and theaters and a massive skyscraper that was once the highest building in Japan. Office workers, students, and shoppers from the suburbs mingle to create an everyone-friendly atmosphere. Tokyo Metropolitan Art Space to the west of the station, puts on concerts and plays.
