Liked: The communal area downstairs was a great place to meet fellow travelers and have a laugh. We ended up drinking downstairs with a big crew on our first night as it was great fun, clean, music, tv etc etc Staff were great, very clean, great location and cheap. We stayed 2 nights in another hostel, a tiny bit cheaper but quality was completely sub standard, so this is great value for money!

Disliked: No problems at all......

Liked: The staff is really kind and speaks english. They recommend some good restaurants nearby the hostel which are typical. Really great stay and cheap for Tokyo.

Liked: Easy access with a JR pass, and no fuss to find coming from Narita Airport.

Disliked: Seems to cut around corner. We can hear wathever the neighbord is saying, the carpet does not exent under the bed, the staff is not that helpful in finding your way around the city.

Liked: Great atmosphere, immaculately clean, cool decor and really friendly and helpful staff. Complimentary coffee in the morning always starts the day off well. Great kitchen facilities and cosy lounge. Really relaxed place to meet other travellers doing the same things as you.

Disliked: Room smelt a bit funky and the walls were pretty thin so noise from the hall was a bit loud, but we will still stay at Ninja again and recommend it to all our friends.

Liked: Awesome hostel, met heaps of great people, good lounge, free internet, fairly good location!!

Disliked: Matras was too thin, but further it was just great

Liked: My partner and I stayed in both the cabin dorms and private double bunk beds.we loved both. This hostel is super clean and the decor is fantastic. The location is excellent with the train station being close and lots of restaurants nearby. The staff gave us lots of useful information too. We would recommend staying here.

Liked: The place is really clean and the staff is really helpful. Furthermore the biggest plus is that it is very central and easy to reach from the airport

Disliked: the rooms are very small and it was a bit smelly in our room. Furthermore they don`t have any lockers

Liked: Best place I've stayed, met some wonderful people and the hostel's been just what I needed- somewhere cheap, nice, clean with free wifi and a communal area for meeting people. Would recommend to anyone!

Liked: Verry nice hostel. Great common room, a beer vending machine, and the staff was verry friendly and helpfull. Spoke good english as well. Oh, and did i mention the beer vending machine?

Disliked: Private twin room was pretty small. A bunk bed and just enough room for your stuff. I didn't really care, since the only thing you do there is sleep annyway.

Liked: Price quality was definitely very good. Staff is probably best of the world.

Disliked: Computers were a bit slow. I think the place would improve a lot if they even did a little bit more on the odor.

Liked: The staff was SUPER HELPFUL and really friendly and spoke a number of languages; they had advice about everything and offered suggestions for everything from directions to restaurants. One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at. They really really look after their guests, and have all kinds of helpful printouts to make navigating Tokyo easy.

Disliked: It's a little out of the way, but close to multiple subway lines, Akihabara, and lots of affordable restaurants. It is really popular with Japanese people in Tokyo for job interviews, so most of the room woke up reeeaaally early, so lots of motion before 6am was pretty normal.

Liked: It was nice and cozy, and had very nice bathroom facilities.

Disliked: Our room was very small and smelled damp/moist. Too small for the amount of money spent there.

Liked: It was located close to the metro and JR stations. It had a lot of character and a big kitchen facility.

Disliked: The dorm room was quite smelly and hot at night. The wooden cabin beds are very noisy when you move around in them. So the person above me woke me up many times.

Liked: Normally I like the cabin beds because they give you a bit of privacy, but with no AC they get hot!

Disliked: It was really hot due to saving electricity. Of course I understand the need to conserve, but be aware it will be really hot, especially in the cabin beds.
