Liked: Nice and spacious common room with clean kitchen. Free lockers. Clean bathrooms. Close to subway and JR stations.

Disliked: Dorm was a bit smelly.

Liked: Very fun members in the staff team. Very well located: JR Line and Toei subway stations less than 5 mins from there. And if you plan carefully with Google Maps, you can get to akihabara in less than 10 mins by foot. Showers and toilets are perfect, clean and comfortable.

Disliked: Small private rooms. It's just the bunk beds and a tiny table.

Liked: Cabin Bed, Small living room for people to meet each other, little notes and tips about fun places ans useful information, helpful staff which made effort assist us finding out information

Disliked: Shower - temperature not consistent , with extream hot and cold water

Liked: Great location for both airports and Tokyo station (Bakarucho station is just around the corner) and Asakusa and Asakusabashi subway and JR lines are also very close. Great, friendly, helpful staff and good facilities. The cabins are spacious but can be get hot so you need to leave the little window open at night. I came back to this place twice during my stay in Japan, wouldn't hesitate going back.

Disliked: Not much, minor things: Cabin dorms are on the upper floors and difficult with heavy bags. Dorm was noisy with people moving around late at night, and the sound travels into the cabins. There are signs downstairs asking people to be quiet at night but none in the dorms.

Liked: Friendly, helpful staff. Comfy large downstairs kitchen/common area with vending machines. Showers and bathrooms are immaculately clean and well equipped - toilets even need an instruction card! Good location about 5 mins walk from two or three subway lines plus convenience stores nearby, including a 7-11, all of whose stores have ATMs accepting foreign cards.

Disliked: I'd have to really nitpick to find something I disliked, so nothing really

Liked: This hostel was perfect. We walked in and they checked us in efficiently, including handing us a map of Tokyo and a local map of restaurants in the neighborhood recommended by staff. The front desk was amazing, the kitchen and bathrooms were nice, the cabin beds were fantastic, and the location was great - right next to a metro line and a JR line station. We liked it so much we booked more nights, then had to cancel because we left early due to the earthquake - they gave us a full refund for our unused nights.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: It was nice to experience capsule beds!

Disliked: Staff didn´t really have control if there are outside people coming to hostel, because the door is bahind recepcion and there are lots of people staying at the hostel. I

Liked: This hostel was the cheapest on Hostelbooker when we booked it in february (1900 for a cabin bed). The kitchen and the lounge are good, well equiped and clean. The staff was very helpfull and friendly.

Disliked: For 1900 yen it's good but not for more: we were in the 16 cabin dorm even if there is a slidding door it's very noisy as people are coming in and out during the night (the wood floor and the digital lock make a lot of noise). Even if everything is done to have fun in the commun area, people over there were not very friendly: no answer when you say hello, for example. But maybe we were not lucky during our 3 days stay.

Liked: First hostel we stayed at in Japan set the benchmark. Had some trouble finding it, but locals very helpful. Highly advanced toilets - bring the instruction manual.

Liked: Very helpful staff, took our bags up to our rooms, not too far from nearby metro

Disliked: Ridiculously small twin private room - not enough room for 2 people and 3 bags to be in at one time, smell of sewerage throughout whole building

Liked: Great hostel, little bit far from the action and tourist hot spots but trains are great so no worries :) staff is super friendly and people and social and fun !

Liked: It was clean, safe, and secure. The location is AMAZING. The staff are ever so friendly and helpful, and have become friends.

Disliked: Nothing. (Well, if there was one thing, it'd be all the Aussie kids that trickled in after Uni finished. But that's not the fault of Khaosan)

Liked: The rooms were very clean, and comfortable, and the staff were amazing!

Disliked: One of the toilets was dirty. Also, slippers for the toilet would have been great. It wasn't very nice putting your feet on the bed after using the toilet.

Liked: The hostel is really close to the station just 1-2 minutes walk.

Disliked: Just a minor comment that Exit C4 Bakurocho station has no elevator, so it is a bit hard to carry the luggage up using the stair. Also there are numbers of the people who stay in the paper box that made me a bit scare when walking at night.
