Christine KangVery close to subway station. Such a GREAT location because it's on the JR subway line (Yamanote) so it's SUPER convenient to get around to the big cities like Shibuya, Harajuku, Shinjuku, etc. Plus, Ikebukuro itself is a city to see because it has that famous street -- Sunshine 60. The staff was super friendly, especially Aki who helped me with everything when it came to planning my day trips and stuff. The blanket and pillow are really comfy (think it was a down blanket..super puffy-ish). very clean, very nice. TOTALLY recommend this place. the only reason i'm writing so much is because it's really worth the money. |

Tina Katharina HerbstThe location is really good - lots of shops, restaurants, nightlife etc. within walking distance. From Ikebukuro station you can easily go everywhere in Tokyo. The staff were really nice and helpful, from the location of cheap pubs to bike rental they organzied everything! |

Customer reviewI liked quite liked Sakura Hostel Ikebukuro, because it was clean and quiet, the beds were comfortable and there's air condition in the rooms. Free wifi in the lobby is also nice. Downside is that they don't have lockers, but the 24h open reception would keep your valuables if you ask. I also think the location is better than most youth hostels in Tokyo, from Ikebukuro it's quick and easy to take yamanote line to areas like Shinjuku, Harajuku and Shibuya, and there's other lines too. Much better than a hostel in Asakusa I stayed previously. A bit more expensive than the cheepest ones, but personally think that the good location and comfortable rooms are worth the money. |

JADE FREEMANThis is one of the better hostels that I've stayed in. The dorms are pretty small and there isn't a lot of space but the bathroom is remarkably clean and it was really easy to find. |
