Liked: Free microwave, hot water dispenser and strong showers. Laundry machines, not too crowded with noisy backpackers. Room was clean and completely okay with a nice view, although the airconditioning seemed to turn itself off at times? In general, fair, but not memorable. The staff was helpful though, and cleaned daily. No complaints on that, just not too fond of the micro-transactions such as the stove and shower.

Disliked: Coin-operated shower and stove. 5 mins daily should be free, after that I don't mind if it costs 100 Yen. The refridgerator wasn't emptied of previous guests, hence stocked with old stuff. The general decoration of walls and toilet. Don't put toys etc in there, impossible to clean and not very hygienic. Smell of inscence was quite disturbing, also the constantly folded toilet paper. Keep things basic, no need to theme everything. The table in the lobby needs to be replaced, it's bent. Being French seems to be an advantage.

Liked: One of the best hostels I've ever seen and really cheap for Tokyo. PERFECTLY clean, traditional (tatami rooms), great design (the Hello Kitty toilet is a piece of art). The staff is very nice and it's only 10 min walk to the subway.

Disliked: 100Y fee for a shower seems a bit exagerated.

Liked: It was really very clean and I liked that they tried to make people aware of saving water. Also having breakfast at the Aizuya Bar close by was really nice.

Disliked: For once I really didn't like that they only had showers on the ground floor. So everytime you shower you have to go down by the reception, the entrance and all the pc's where people hang out. I felt uncomfortable.

Liked: Thanks to their low prices i could afford a single room and it was great to have my own space. The decoration provided a pleasant atmosphere. And their free coffee tastes good !

Disliked: Futon was a bit thin and pillow, a bit hard. I really disliked the coin-operated shower because I found that damn dirty ! Coins are so filthy, why the hell bring them in a bathroom?! I felt the staff was really concerned about environnemental issue so I guess it is a way to make customers use water carefully, but still...

Liked: The staff were incredbily friendly here and the hostel was really nice inside. The location is good, in terms of access to many places in Tokyo. Just down the road from a good station and if you walk the other way, the Asakusa shrines are beautiful and definitely worth visiting. It is a quiet location but perfectly safe and this is an ideal place to stay. Also book your breakfast in advance and you get 100 yen off it and it's a nice one!

Disliked: Paying the 100 yen for the shower was a little weird but not mega expensive and they are clean. This was ideal for my boyfriend and I but if you wanted to have mega parties and socialise more, I think you might find it quite quiet! But overall, really nice.

Liked: Localisation was great - Quite near from the station, just few minutes walk.Friendly athmosphere, really helpful staff, clean and tidy.Access to the Internet - free of chargeEverything you need if you need a place to stay for a couple of nights.

Disliked: Quite small rooms. If you have large baggage with you ask staff for more details related to size of the room (picture or so) to avoid misunderstanding. You need to pay for using shower cabin. (not much though) but anyway. I understand to pay for usage of washing/drying machines but showers? that too much.

Liked: Nice place to stay ! We enjoyed it. Nice little room with tatamis and really friendly and helpfull staff. Great atmosphere !

Disliked: We had to pay several times for the dryer (not powerfull). No elevator. Usually not a problem at all but for my woman's actual's condition it was more difficult. But the inconvients were small !

Liked: Hostel was great. Very clean and comfortable and cozy. The staff was nice and helpful. I was able to get a private room with my own A/C for very cheap, so I was very happy. However, the location is a bit annoying. The closest station is a 10 minute walk and it only connects to the Hibiya subway line (and maybe some JR lines, not sure). I didn't realize how much this would annoy me. However, aside from that, I would definitely stay here again.

Liked: friendly staff, very clean place and Japanese atmosphere. Only I didn`t like the location. I had not the feeling sleeping in Tokyo. But, good price (value for money) for a bed and you can explore the real Tokyo by subway/JR, with some patience..
