Liked: The location is about 10 minutes walk from the subway station carrying heavy luggage. It does have high reliable high speed internet which was great. However, the lockers that they provide is a little small. But after considering the price that it offer, it wasn't that bad.

Liked: Good value for money for budget traveler, nothing more. Room was very small and worn down. Common area also small, very crowded and not clean (we saw two cockroaches running through the living room).

Liked: It is a great place for meeting people and the staff is very welcoming and keen to help. The dorm rooms are excellent for saving money but they are not extremely comfortable.

Liked: The best about Khaosan Annex is surely the lively atmosphere and the courtesy of the staff. It is also great for saving money (dorm rooms).

Liked: I stayed at the Original and the location was a lot better and it was cleaner as well. The annex is too tall and you will most likely have to climb 4 flights of stairs if you stay in a female dorm. not nearly as clean as the other Japanese hostels I stayed in while visiting. Way too many people and it was just overall very cramped.

Liked: Clean and friendly and not bad value for money considering the location/country, chaper than most if not all seen in the LP guide. Would stay again.

Liked: Fun place to stay! Main lounge and nearby bar operated by the hostel provides easy access to mingling with other travelers. The staff personnels were cool but seemed slightly disorganized.

Liked: Clean and location are the only positives. I did not get a good night sleep at all.On last night, one of the staff cleaned the room after midnight dispite 3 people, including myself, trying to get some sleep for an early night. Not only that, but the staff decided to have a nice load convo and SING!!!

Liked: Tiny rooms, cramped common room. No showers on 2nd floor and only one on 3rd! All showers on ground next to reception and inside the main common area!

Liked: I paid 1,500 yen for a dorm night for a special they have going on this month, and you get a free drink for their bar down the road. A little hard to find, but close to the main stuff in Asakusa. Staff was very helpful, there's no elevator and one of the girls carried my HEAVY suitcase up the stairs for me. Free coffee, squeaky bunk beds.

Liked: Wow, Japan...I love it...this was the best hostel I've ever stayed in...good value for your pocket...just gotta walk a bit to Asakusa station, but not bad really...free internet...helpful staff who speaks English...just wish they give better direction to their hostel for new-comers...I was seriously lost once I get off Asakusa station.

Liked: It was very clean and the dorm beds could be closed off with curtains which made it nice and cozy. The price was affordable. They offered free filtered water and tea which was a nice perk.My main gripes would be that there are no directions to the hostel from the subway station on the hostelbookers website [I got lost for almost 2 hours], and the private rooms have very thin walls separating them, you could hear your neighbors' conversations!

Liked: downstairs reception very open, friendly and welcoming. cheap rates. clean. lots of `whats on` info and travel info. close to a great area. draws a lot of like minded travellers.

Liked: A bit difficult to find because no directions are given from the metro station on the site but definitely is an excellent backpacker, cheap for Tokyo. Loved my stay !

Liked: Well, it was only a short stop. So I can't say much about the Hostel. But it is really easy to get there and the staff is very nice too.
