Liked: The staff is friendly and there is really everything that is described at the website. But everything is really small. Additionally, the walls are really thin, so that you can hear every single noise. But altogether, it is a nice place if you want a cheap night.

Liked: very nice hostel, although showers are one or two floors away from the rooms and in downtown Asakusa - although Tokyo has many downtowns and this seemed to be a bit of trek from many of the attractions other than the Asukasa shrine

Liked: The front desk were really helpful and nice and there was a great selection of tourist information available. The toilets and showers were kept surprisingly clean.They want you to talk quietly in the common room at night which is kind of difficult since it's a common meeting space for everyone but it's a fair request because people are sleeping next door.All in all great experience and would definitely go back.

Liked: Although this location was a bit of a hike from the metro, the hostel was well run. I appreciated that they let me leave my big suitcase there when I left to hike Fuji and see a couple other cities before returning to stay in the hostel a couple nights later. Friendly staff. Great experience.

Liked: the beds are big and have blinds, there's a kitchen, internet and a lounge area where i could meet people, though it took a bit of work since the tv was always on. better than a lot of places i've stayed. i didn't experience any bedbugs myself.

Liked: Very nice place to meet some young backpacker from all around the world. Shame that it's not located closer from Tokyo best spot but at least it's very quiet at night! I will recommand it to every one. Some of the staff wern't as friendly as I expected but they are making a good job and that's all we ask them for ;-)

Liked: Easy location, great price, very basic - dont expect any furniture in the room apart from a bed! but really friendly and secure - we didn't spend much time in the hostel so this was fine for us.

Liked: There is another hostel next Khaosan Tokyo Annex, which is called "Khaosan Tokyo Smile". I booked a bed of Annex, but they transferred me to Smile at their convenience, saying "we upgraded your room from a 10 bed dorm to a 4 bed room for free." Smile is just next Annex, but the lounge was much, much smaller, which had only two computers for the Internet and no TV. In addition, the Internet was terribly slow. Honestly, the hostel was uncomfortable. The rooms were clean and enough to sleep well, though.

Liked: Khaosan Annexe Tokyo is well run and extremely clean and is one of the best hostels I've stayed in. The Asakusa location is a nice spot, but keep in mind it's a 20-30 minute ride into the action in Shibuya, Harajuku, Roppongi etc.

Liked: The living room is a good place to meet people. The only problem is, that first you have to switch off the TV, before communication can start. In this hostel we made friends with people from all over the world and enjoyed a really good time in Tokyo!
