Liked: Free coffee and tea, free cooking facility and showers. Close to Lawson 100 shop, postal office, 7 Eleven and subway. TV and sofas.

Disliked: Overly populated with backpackers, some days the lobbyroom can get too crowded to be there. People smoking outside can be disturbing, some rooms can be too small. My gf and I basically had a bed and window, and no space between them. Fix the curtains, and shut people up after 10pm.

Liked: This is for sure the best hostel i ve ever been!!The atmosphere is fantastic and really friendly, with other traveler, and with staff too. I suggest you to get a map before get there, but once you get there u ll be really happy of your choice.A lot of movies, free internet, 8 pc, and just a few minutes from the metro and asakusa most temples

Liked: Excellent place to stay. Good rates. The staff is really nice, respectfull and willing to help. My cabin was pristine when i first checkd in and the facilities allways clean. Very easy to find and near the subway.

Liked: The location was ideal, it was in a nice small neighborhood of Tokyo, very quiet. I was 10 min walk from Asakusa Station also.

Liked: Great place, very friendly staff and fellow travelers.

Disliked: WiFi doesn't work well in all places in the hostel. It's only a minor inconvenience, though. It's a little hard to find the place... use the map on their website.

Liked: it's good value and the lobby is quite nice. the bathrooms are clean (the dorm was just so-so though).

Disliked: there are many hostels in Asakusa, but this is definitely not the best one. it's a bit far from the station if you have heavy luggage (if not, it's totally ok though), and the rooms are quite crammed. I came before check-in time (3pm) and they told me that if I wanted to use the wi-fi or the shower or just hang out in the lobby a bit longer before 3pm, I would have to pay 500yen extra. other hostels don't have those restrictions, so consider this if you arrive early in the morning (maybe by nightbus).

Liked: This was probably the best hostel I stayed in on my year travelling. I had such a good time with all the staff and fellow backpackers. The great thing about this hostel is there are people of all ages so you never feel out of place no matter how young or old.. Most people are travelling on there own so it is common for people to hook up and spend there time travelling with room mates.Now I am in Paris and the hostel is more expensive and in a bad location. I arrived at 8am and couldn't check in til after 4pm. Pure nightmare as I had a 8hr flight from Tokyo to Kuala L then a four hour wait for my 13hr connecting flight to Paris. All I wanted to do was have a shower and drop my bags off but that was a no go. I definetly miss the Khaosan.. I will be back... James, Ireland

Liked: Cheap,OK, location: OK near the subway, and near the cosy area of Asakusa

Disliked: Thin walls: You could hear everything Small private rooms - (but fine to the price, I would go there again, if I am on low budget). A bit far from the area of Shibuya and Shinjuku (30-45 min by the subway).

Liked: Everything.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike. Probably only bad thing is that there was no shower on the 3rd floor and that the wireless signal in the dorms was not so good.
