Great deal for an expensive city like Tokyo. There is free internet access with Wi-Fi. Bathrooms and the beds are maintained clean. Staff is very helpful. Overall, this place more than satisfied my expectations.

Staff were helpful and it's just behind all the shrines of Asakusa. It's also an easy commute to Narita so there's no need to carry packs/suitcases through inner city Tokyo!

Sakura hostel is really a good choice for staying in Tokyo! Excellent price for what you get, clean, lots of travellers which stay there and friendly staff. So, go for it!

This was a good hostel and does well to provide you with pretty much everything you need (though the kitchen is a bit limited if you want to cater for yourself). Its popularity and success is testimony to this. However, with this popularity comes the drawback that its perhaps a little crowded (especially the common areas in the evening) and being such a big hostel means that Sakura lacks those small touches and quirks that make for a really special and memorable hostel.

Great place! A little bit a subway ride to some of the cool sight, but kind of expected given the price. Free wi-fi was a nice luxury.

Good location in Asakusa Tokyo, although a little far from the underground station. Very nice and helpful staff. I recommend it to everybody

It seems far from town but asakusa is a great place to come back to, loads of bars and restaurants and being right next to Senso-Ji temple makes it really easy to find

I liked that it was close to Senso-ji; beautiful location, and the restaurants nearby had great sandwiches and tempura. The hostel itself was difficult to find, but someone came to find us. Cons: the bed sheets were dirty (had stains on them). The noise was a problem on some nights, but not all. Pros: The bathrooms were kept clean and comfortable; there was plenty of hot water. The staff all spoke English and were very helpful and kind. I liked that towels and breakfast could be purchased, (bath slippers however, weren't provided). Front desk open 24 hours. Note: I honestly don't know if hostelbookers was promoted at the hostel. Overall, I liked it and would go there again. I've stayed at hostels around the world and would say Sakura Hostel was above average.
