Liked: Good value for money, friendly staff, not really anything bad to say about place.

Liked: The location is great. 15 min walk to one of the biggest train stations with access to the Kansai area. The staff is superfriendly and helps you to get sorted out with everything. In this hostel, some people stay very long (6 months+) which gives you an opportunity to meet "Japan experts" and ask the crazy culture questions that you couldn't have asked, or get a crash course in japanese phrases. It's definetly a good asset to the accomodation. Also you get to borrow nice slippers for walking indoors.

Disliked: The rooms are small, and the walls a bit thin. Also it gets a bit cold, since the insulation is not much to write home about. But there are thick blankets in the beds. The shower facilities are on one floor only and costs 100 yen for 6 minutes. It may sound like a short time but it's actually just enough. This means however that there is no hot water on any other floor.

Liked: The owners Kazu & his wife are very friendly and helpful. Kazu allowed me to check in EARLY at 10AM! The rooms are cheapest available in a nice area. It was fairly close to Yodobashi Camera and Osaka Station. The people who are there long term are very very friendly. We were able to meet folks from all over the world & they are very talkative.

Disliked: The rooms were separated with thin plywood walls. I was able to hear everything next door, and there was absolutely no sound privacy. There was also a small window above my door in my room facing into the main hall and all the doors were also made of plywood with cloth sheets that cover a bit of the top portion (meaning people can move the sheet to see into the room). There wasn't any WiFi and the double rooms only had one network cable for internet. The dormitory was very cold with no heaters, and there is only cold faucet water.

Liked: This was the cheapest hostel and best value for money I found in the whole of Japan. My girlfriend and I have travelled round Japan for 7 months and havent found a better place to stay yet. It was cheap but clean and the staff are amazingly helpful. When my computer broke the owner even got his friend to fix it!! The rooms are simple but have everything you need. Plus the kitchen is great and the common room is big and has cable and films to watch. The staff will help you with any questions you have about the Kansai area. Most places in Japan have late check in times between 2pm and 4pm but here is anytime. There is free internet in your room or upstairs. Bike hire is only 100 yen for the day!! The location is about 10 mins from the umeda station area. I highly reccomend this place for budget travellers.

Liked: Highly recommended for price paid. Very large and comfortable common room. Good location, within walking distance from Osaka main train station. Owner very friendly and helpful. Cheap bike rental possible (100 yen per day). The only drawback is shower, which is payable (100 yen).

Liked: Really close to Umeda (You can walk to it). The staff are really nice people. The rooms are really small but the price is very cheap so you get want you're paying for. Besides if you're looking for a room just to sleep it's perfect!
