Liked: Such friendly staff - they brought my bags to my room and returned moments later with a beer each for myself and my partner in crime - fabulous touch!

Disliked: Nothing to dislike.

Liked: Despite the outdated foyer of this building, the rooms were good: large (for Japan standard's), clean and had good facilities. We were also lucky to have a window that opened out on to the street so we could watch passers' by. This is a great location - 5 minutes from the shopping district of Namba.

Disliked: The foyer could do with a reno as a bit depressing on first appearances. Make sure you take a good map of the hotel's location. We found it tricky to get to from Namba station. It is only 10 minutes walk through all the shopping areas and would be easy with a good map. However, using the hotel's written instructions was impossible - we had to ask for directions from a police man!

Liked: Not a place to meet people. The rooms, however, are very nice and spacious! Tatami mats, with futon, but also a table with seats on the floor, another table with chairs, fridge, tv, coffee, tea and wifi. You won't meet any people in this hotel. The staff is friendly, but you have to ask them for another batch for tea, coffee or cookies and for them to empty your trash. Which you will get, with a smile ;-) When we left the hotel, the owner offered us to bring us and our luggage to the station with his car.

Liked: I love the romm with tatami and the staff is so nice.Very near the Shinzaibashi and the Nihonbashi Subway Station.Toilet is small and a little danger. Must to use carefully.

Liked: we couldnt stay at this hotel becouse door was broken but the owner was so nice to find other hotel for us with the same price.

Liked: we actually got a private room instead of a 4bed dormitory. we dont know if it was to compensate for everything that was wrong and not working. And this room was actually quite beautiful... but the toilet was still dirty..

Liked: First thing is: don't trust the location on Google Maps because it points to the wrong place - try to follow the written directions on hostelbookers. When we arrived the automatic front door was broken - the only access was through a narrow alley to the backdoor so no big bags would fit through. The owner spoke good english and was very sorry about the situation - he upgraded us into a Ryokan-style room which was excellent; clean, ensuite shower, good AC. The only problem was our we couldn't get our big bags in, which had to stay outside in the owner's car boot! When we checked out, he even said that we could have the night we stayed for free because of the problems he was having with the door (though we still gave him a bit of money because he was a nice guy and the room was good)!

Liked: + Clean rooms, free water and tea, free towels- the staff was mainly Korean and could't hardly speak Japanese or English o.O (but they tried their best.^^)- the shower was outside, so it was quite cold... (stayed there in March, during summer it's ok, I guess)
