Liked: The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. More then willing to go out of their way to make your stay more comfortable.

Liked: The inn keepers were very polite and it is close to the Tenri Station, which is only four stops away from Nara. The town was small but had a lot of variety in food.

Disliked: The western style room is a joke. Its really dirty and stinky. Do not book it. Japanese style ones seems better, but we didn't try them.

Liked: Really friendly hosts. Even though the lady doesn't speak english (only her son does), she tries her best. It's walking distance from JR and Kintetsu line, wich helps get around easily. Rooms with tatames are kind of a fun experience.

Disliked: My girlfriend didn't find the restrooms very clean. Some people smoke in it. Bathroom is Japanese style, which may be a problem for some...

Liked: I liked how it was more traditional style with tatami, futon and yukata. I also liked services such as internet and tea making were for free.

Liked: It is located near Tenni JR, a quite rural place with some transitional building around, which is about 20-30min away from Nara JR. There are some temples to visit, one long shopping street, some delicious fried pork and then that's all. It is worth to place a visit there if you would like to live like a Japanese :). Shops at shopping street close about 4-5pm!!! Only a few restaurants close at 8-9pm. This is a family-run hostel. The son is very helpful and can speak English. He is delighted to teach you some basic Japanese and the Japanese culture. His mother can speak a very little bit English, but she is quite patient to explain the things in body language! Not sure whether there is curfew... but better you come back before 10pm, because the old couples sleep very early (8pm...) and it is very dark nearby :)
