Location Information

About Nara:
There are many national treasure in Nara because there is the Acient capital of Japan(Yamato).

The older capital is located near Asuka about 1500-1400 years ago and the era is called "The Asuka era"or "The Hakuho Era".

You can see the remaining of temples and the Statue of budha at Horyuji and many burial mouds and the strange stone or rock monument in Asuka.

The other capital is called Remaining of Ancient Capital of "Heijo"about 1300years ago.
The era ia called "the Nara era".

Most of the temples and shrine in Nara were built in the Nara era.

At Todaiji you can see the famous Great Statue of budha, Kofukuji temple and Kasuga shrine.
