Great atmosphere if you want to party. The staff and the guests are very friendly and welcoming. It's very relaxed and there was something going on every night- people dancing, drum circles, impromptu parties. etc. etc. But...if you actually want to sleep find another place- it's loud and the beds and pillows are rock hard.

This hostel was the highlight of our trip. We had so much fun since the arrival, guests and staffs were already chilling and drinking. They gave us a big welcome - the most friendliest, nicest and sincere people I've ever met. We drank together every night for hours, very stress free and laid atmosphere which somehow does not feel like Japan. I loved every moment of it and i'm already planning to return in August. :)

The owner was amazing, the atmosphere was so relaxed and wonderful...even though I did not speak japanese, they were soo friendly and included me in everything. It was one of my best hostel experiences in Japan.

The staff was absolutely fantastic and some of the most helpful, friendly and enjoyable people to be around. They cooked for us sometimes, without asking for money, and partied with us every night.

Very nice place on the beach. You can sit on the campfire with a great view on the sea. The reggea music from the player fits very well to the atmosphere. The stuff is really cool and friendly...

The staff was really friendly and inviting, often offering us drinks and snacks during the nightly get togethers. The very first night we arrived, there was a big party in which we ate yaki niku (japanese style fried meat) and drank to our heart's content, all this was only 500 Yen (roughly $3.80). So I have to say it was good company and good times.
In addition to the lively night life there is plenty to do in the day too. The hostel is right on the beach (watch out for mosquitoes though) so you can swim, snorkel, and kayak. The kayaking is for free and the snorkeling might be as well. There is a jet ski place just up the beach, though I didn't have the time or money to do it. Kitchen facilities are adequate and I was glad that the showers had nice pressure and 24 hours hot water.
We stayed in the white house, which was a private accomodation and more or less a shack. It was a little dirty and unkept but the main house full of bamboo bunk beds covered with comfy looking futons was very clean. For the price and location, you really can't beat this place I think. My girlfriend and I were very impressed.
And as a last tip, the bus ride from the airport to Nago takes about 2 hours and costs about 2,000 Yen. It is VERY EASY to find the bus stop at the airport (bus number 111), and even easier to find the hostel once you've arrived in Nago. Follow the directions as provided, you can't miss it.
