Liked: The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and we got free drinks in the evening.

Disliked: There are lots of unnecessary rules. We were locked out from 10am to 4pm due to cleaning, computer use is limited to 15 minutes at a time, wireless was not free (you had to have a softbank account to access it), the mens' bathroom was not the cleanest, and access to the shower was limited to certain times of the day.

Liked: You will be hosted by a traditional Japanese family, so upon understanding their limits and routine, being considerate to family members and respecting Japanese tradition, you will have a great experience. Good rooms and infrastructure, great value for the money.

Disliked: Unfortunately, during my stay the internet was off.

Liked: Ebisu Nagasaki is a clean bed. good for a one-night stay, but nothing more. Location is very convenient, just minutes away from the JR Nagasaki Station, but about 30 minutes away from the sights of Nagasaki. Computer use and free internet are limited to 15 minutes per person, which basically allows you to log on and off, and shower times are restricted. In the morning you can take a shower between 6:30 and 9 am, but we misunderstood the owner`s English and thought she said "from" 9 am. Needless to say she did not let us take a shower after 9, and we spent the day walkig around town smelly. We would not recommend this place to anyone looking for good price/quality accomodation: there is no kitchen and no real common area.

Liked: very pleasant and helpul proprietor, who made the place really homely (though I've never seen so many plastic flowers in one place!). Beds were very comfortable and cosy.
