Liked: This is the best hostel I have ever stayed at (out of three countries!). The dorm space was very well organized and even felt kind of private. The facilities are a beautiful mix between Japanese and Western cultures. The public baths in the building were wonderful and relaxing. The location is directly across from the station, the bus stops, and the information booth. There are 4 computers with internet access (fast) and ample community space. Maybe because it is still winter, everything was very quiet and relaxing. I have plans to return in the summer.

Liked: The location being right across from the station, arriving and leaving To sit in the hotspring and look at Mt Fuji is excellent, to be able to come in from a day walking and be able to soak in the hotspring them relax without having to then make your way home.The staff are helpful and friendly, gave information on events and map with directions.

Liked: Best dormitory I`ve stayed in my life. Really clean, real matress, superb onsen bath. The staff was really really helpful. Japanese breakfast at the hotel restaurant was good, and the japanese BBQ restaurant recommended by the saff was one of the best meals we had in Japan.

Liked: clean, nice big twin japanese style rooms with tatami and futon with japanese pyjama and with green tea and hot water near the table. Great onsen with the wiew to the Fuji. 100m from the station.

Liked: The location was perfect - we could see the hostel's pink canope from the station and only had to cross one road to get there.Staff were obliging, friendly and spoke excellent English.The basement had Japanese dress which you could don for photos with a traditional backdrop - great fun but by far the best bit was the hot baths overlooking the mountains - an amazing way to start the day.

Liked: Large clean rooms for couples. Free tea provided in rooms and hot baths on floor above. Great views of Fuji and literally right across the road from the Kawaghuchiko train station. Handy map of local restaurants provided. A good base for climbing fuji, about a 40 minute bus ride from across the road. Also handy for all buses to local museums and a 10 minute walk to the lake. Free internet on 4 machines with free drinks provided. Excellent Japanese breakfast for 900yen.
