About Mt. Fuji Hostel Michael's
Mt. Fuji Hostel Michael's is a non-smoking hostel but we do have a smoking area outside on the patio where you sit and relax with friends and enjoy the view of Mt Fuji.
Mt. Fuji Hostel Michael's is on the 2nd floor above Michael's American Cafe & Pub where you can enjoy great food, drinks, watch sports, play darts with friends. It’s also a great spot to make new friends from the local area. We have no common area however Michael's America Cafe & Pub is a great common area to go and enjoy yourself.
Mt. Fuji Hostel Michael's has two (2) mixed dormitories 10 guests each, all bunks have curtains & reading lights. Two (2) Japanese Tatami matt style private rooms 1 - 4 guests. We also have two (2) small western style private rooms one for two (2) guests and one for one (1) guest. We have available 24 hours a day washer & dryer, western style showers and toilets, free internet & WIFI access, Skype, Facebook & office 2010 (English Ver). We also have bicycle rentals for you to enjoy the local area.

We have no common area, However we do have a complete cafe & pub downstairs, this is our common area to enjoy good food & drinks plus meet many of the local people from the area.

Fuji-Q-Highland is well known as the most exciting amusement park in Japan.

The Fuji-Yoshida Fire Festival is celebrated at Fuji Sengen shrine on August 26th, announcing the close of the climbing season of Mt. Fuji. It has been named one of the three most peculiar festivals to still be celebrated in Japan. A torch is kindled at every house-front in Fujiyoshida, and the city is then said to resemble a "sea of fire." Soon after this festival the summer climbing season of Mt. Fuji comes to an end.

Fujiyama Onsen offers the relaxation of traditional Japan. Guests can enjoy the view of Mt. Fuji, the blessings of the area through all five senses.

The wall of a cave is covered on ice in the cave made after lava flowed.
The groundwater of Fuji which oozed from the ceiling between winter has made the pond of brilliant natural icicle and ice.
1hour by train and bus from our hostel.

Mitsu-Toge trail is one of the most popular hiking trail in Kawaguchiko area.
30min by bus to the starting point and 180min to hike up to the top and 130min to come back.
There is also a walking trail that is conecting to Mitsutoge trail nearby our hostel.
It's takes about 90min' to starting point of Mitsu-Toge trail from our hostel.
The trail to the top of Mt.Fuji opens from July 1st to August 31st.
Bus to the Mt.Fuji 5th station is from mid. April to early Nov.
Ticket are available at Mt Fuji station and Kawaguchiko station , about a 50 min bus ride.
