Welcome to Murahama!! Minshuku Murahamasou Ryokan is a traditional Japanese style inn. We are located in the beautiful 5 lakes Region of Yamanashi, near the foot of Mt Fuji, on Lake Shoji, Kawaguchiko.

Family owned and operated for over 30 years, we can help you plan your stay to get the most out of your trip to Japan. We are a small inn, so you get personal service. Your stay at Murahamasou is sure to be a memorable experience.

We are located in the beautiful 5 lakes Region of Yamanashi, near the foot of Mt Fuji, on Lake Shoji, Kawaguchiko.

This area boasts spectacular views of the mountain and surrounding lakes year-round.
Recreation abounds, with hiking, fishing, shopping, the world's tallest roller coaster, and of course many people come to climb Mt Fuji!

Accommodation Information

Our guestrooms are traditional japanese style with tatami mat floor. We have 8 rooms and can accommodate up to 8 people in our larger rooms. We have two very small rooms available for single travelers.

Rooms include television, green tea and yukata (japanese pajama). Room charges include one dinner and one breakfast. If you have dietary concerns or preference, please let us know when you make your reservation. While you are eating dinner, we set up your futons in the room.

After dinner, feel free to return your room, or relax in the lounge where you can use the internet, watch movies, or have a drink. We have a DVD available and a small selection of American movies.

Snacks and Drinks such as green tea, beer, shouchu and sake are available 24 hours and are self serve.

We have japanese style shared bath, and shared toilet facilities. It is sometimes possible to reserve the bath if you want private family bath, please ask ahead of time.

Location Information

The Ryokan's neighboring business is a family style restaurant, and within a 5 minute walk you can reach a convenience store. There is a bus stop within 1 minute of walking.

Sengen shrine is close by, built at the foot of Mt. Fuji centuries ago. It is a beautiful sight to see, surrounded by forest and huge very old trees. We are a country inn, please enjoy the Japanese countryside with us!

There is hiking and horseback riding in this area, and we have boat rental for fishing or viewing of Mt Fuji from the lake.
