Liked: Friendly and helpful staff made stay comfortable

Disliked: Distance from toilets and shower, for our rooms, quite far. and stairs quite steep so ask for rooms closer to amenities next time.

Liked: Good location. Easy to find. Had rental bikes. True Japanese style rooms.

Liked: Good sized rooms, comfy futon beds and warm heating. Also in a great location from the station, town and an amazing temple right across the road! The girl on reception was really friendly and helpful. She spoke good English, and also helped us improve our Japanese.

Disliked: Often a bit of a wait for shower/bathroom as there was only one.

Liked: Nice and clean place, amazing decorations. Nice working stuff. When you arive towels, tooth brush and tooth paste is waiting for you in room as well as a japanese style gown. Free coffe :) P.S check in is at 4pm but for small fee you can check in earlier

Disliked: Only bad thing is that I had to pay for 2 people because on the website there is no option for 1, but at the end there are flyeres in hostel saying that the price for single person is 4000 yen per night and I end up paying 6800 yen. I think taht I sould get the difference back, but I dint .

Liked: A very nice introduction to Japanese style ryokan. The owner is very helpful and friendly, speaks english and has advice on touist locations. As well as a our owne spacious room with futons there are shared kitchen facilites and eating/sitting area. Though there is only one shower room (with bath) in pracise this wasn't a problem as it is not a big estabilishment, and there were separate toilet and washing facilites. Also wifi, a computer and laundry facilities available, and bike hire. The location is very convinient for the main train station, and about 20min stroll to Gion. Highly recommended.
