Liked: The kitchen was very cute, and it was very close to the train station. And very quiet, free internet, relaxing place to stay.

Liked: Even though the owner could not speak english, she was warm and friendly and did her best to make the stay comfortable for the guests. The place was a little run down though.

Liked: The ryokan was ok, but the land-owner doesn´t speak english, so if you have any problem, it could be difficult to find a solution. The place is a little untidy, but it is in the best location if you want to take trains to visit other cities. Good price

Liked: The property was close to Kyoto Station - as described, only a 5-10 walk. The room itself was clean however the communal basin area, toilet and showers were in need of a scrub or at the least a daily wipe down. There was some confusion at check-in with locating our booking however we did get given a room in the end.

Liked: The hotel is easy to find from Kyoto JR Rail station. It is 20mins walk to Gion district where everything happens so if you want to be in the thick of the action try somewhere close to Gion. The lady was really busy when we stayed so a bit stressed and not so helpful but we did go on a public holiday. Toilets and facilities are basic and I have stayed in better places for cheaper. No Internet.

Liked: Extreamely friendly and helpful owner with very limited english skills, but handsigns and smiles makes up for it. A great way to try a japanese inn for the first time.
