Liked: The only issue is the long climb up five stories. Otherwise, the facilities were superior. They even had CNN and BBC. None of the other Japanese hostels I stayed in had English channels. There was free coffee and tea including loose Japanese tea and ground coffee. It was close to the train station and eating places were close as well.

Liked: A great and very reasonably priced place to stay. Great location and the staff were really fantastic and very helpful. All the facilities were clean and the kitchen was always spotless. I met some great people here too.

Liked: I was only here for one night, but it was a great place to stay. From Kyoto JR station it's easy to get to, and I especially liked the very comfortable lounge.

Liked: Absolutely awesome. The staff are super-friendly and you have access to a proper kitchen and plenty of great shower rooms. The lounge area is very comfortable indeed. You'll be sure to make some new friends here.About 5 minutes walk from Kyoto JR, at this price? Why go anywhere else?

Liked: Great place! Staff was friendly and you could take free showers and rent locks for free. Had a bunch of maps and local attractions for you as well. Location was awesome, walking distance from Kyoto Station, so JR Pass people can get most places for free (Inari, Nijo, and not bad walking to everywhere else!).Thanks!
