-Toji-Temple = One of the most important temples for Esoteric Buddhism .The big flea market is held on the 1st Sunday and 21st of every month. The pagoda in Toji is the biggest in Japan.
-Fushimi Inari Shrine = a famous Geisha movie [Memoirs of a Geisha=Sayori] was shot at this place. More than 3000 red Torii gates form a line all over the Inari -mountain. You can see a superb view of Kyoto from the top of the shrine. This place is very nice also for a short hike and open for 24hours. No charge.
-Tofukuji-Zen-Temple = a well-known temple for the beautiful scenery of Momiji leaves. The bright colors of the Momiji leaves are outstanding. And also it's famous as Karesansui (dry landscape gardens, also known as rock gardens and waterless stream gardens) made by Mirei Shigemori.
