Liked: It was clean. Nothing too special, but it was in a good era.

Disliked: I feel as though it was a bit too expensive for what was offered. I stayed at Acc in for only 2000 yen and got more access to computers, my own tatame room, more space, and just generally more activites offered.

Liked: no idea what I liked... nothing I suppose. just a place to come and spend night....

Disliked: Internet is one laptop on counter and you have stand next to it to use it and than you are on front door

Liked: When we got here the place was locked up but after some knocking the owner let us in to drop off our bags. Very tight staircase upstairs. No sink except for the tap ontop of the toilet on the mens floor. Separated men and women which was a bit of a pain to get my gf in the morning. Location was far away from the main shopping area and the park. Also given that buses are reletively pricey in Kyoto adds a bit to the overall cost.The place width of the entrance floor is probably about 4m (quite small) and honestly the owner probably needs to hire at least 1 extra staff member to extend opening hours and do odd jobs. You also had to stand at the entrance area to use the only laptop for internet - an old IBM.The bedrooms however had a reasonable amount of space and the bed sheets were incredibly cosy to sleep with!! - Overall there's probably better places to go for the amount we paid (during sakura season)

Liked: Clean and reasonably priced. Small kitchen is the only common room besides terrace. Location is not good, although easy accessible with bus 205 (only few city attractions are located within walking distance; Kyoto Station more than 2,5 km away). Bike rental possible for 500 yen per day. Staff speak English very well.

Liked: This was a good choice if you are desperate - long way out on bus; tiny kitchen with poor facilities; cramped dorm rooms and tiny bathrooms. Internet access on one computer was free - standing up in entrance - overlooked by anyone who came into tiny entrance hall

Liked: Comfortable, clean bedrooms. Common room / kitchen is very small and gets a bit uncomfrortable if everyone is trying to eat at once. Good bus connections to Kyoto station tourist attractions.

Liked: This hostel is small but very clean. It is conveniently located near a bus stop and quite easy to find. Not too far from Kyoto Station but the only draw back is that it is located on the west side of Kyoto, opposite from where all the night actions are on the east side.

Liked: Tranquill place and good atmosphere, and you can rent a bycicle there. A little far from city centre but if you use municipal bus, mainly No.205, you can reach this hostel easily from kyoto station. I like this hostel.
