Liked: This hostel was extremely cheap! The dorms were fine... the beds were pretty uncomfortable... the kitchen was very tiny... there were only two toilets and one shower for everyone to share! But, if you only plan to stay in Kagoshima for a night or two, this place would be fine. Its in a great location, very close to the JR station.

Liked: The hostel was not very clean, especially the bathroom, The location is quite good. The dorm drom is quite packed and there's not a lot of space to place your luggage. The staff are friendly, but are not able to speak a word of English so don't expect to be able to communicate in English ;-)The value for money is not bad, but not that great either. My second stay in Kagoshima was better value for money, if you that mind to stay in a capsule hotel ;-)

Liked: It was cheap, but not nice. We tried to stay in the hostel as little as possible, which makes you spend more on food and drinks in café and restaurants.

Liked: The location is fairly good, given that it is quite near Kagoshima Chuo Station. The staff are very kind, and it has a very laid back attitude. For the price, it is extremely reasonable. I particularly like that you can use a rental bicycle from the hostel for free.However, I do not recommend staying for more than one or two nights. You won't get much sleep here, even if you stay in a private room. The close proximity to Kagoshima Chuo Station results in many trains going by, loudly, even late at night or early in the morning. Because of the relaxed atmosphere, some of the rules are not strictly enforced. Therefore, it is common to hear people conversing loudly in the free space or back patio. Furthermore, the beds are quite hard (basically a wooden board with a thin mat on top). It would be easier to sleep if there was a second mat/cushion. I spoke to other guests who agreed with this opinion. Otherwise, it isn't such a bad deal for a place to sleep.

Liked: Best value for money I have had from any hostel.very friendly staff they helped me plan my daysvery cheap accomodation and good evening meal.Minutes from the station just ask at information.I have paid twice as much and recived twice as?capsule hotel.Bottomline you cant go wrong.
