The owner is really nice, a washing machine may be used for free (tumbling 100 yen) and a convenient location for nightlife and excellent connections to ferry and train. As well free tea / coffee and no problems with curfew!

Im deaf and travelled by myself to Kagoshima. The owner is very thoughtful, and he told me when he was away. He helped me with pointing important places at the map of Kagoshima, and then he gave me some free maps. There is also wash machines. But there was only 2 bath tubs/shower rooms, so it was a bit stressing to get a shower whenever.

the owner was reeeally nice and helpful. i stayed while typhoon usagi was wreaking havoc over kyushu so he was nice enough to call up the tourist attractions to find out if they were closed. i didnt waste a trip to sakurajima since the ferries all werent operating. also the other people at the hostel were great and friendly, the green tea and nibbles provided for free were great.

The staff were very friendly and my room was all made up and airconditioned when I arrived. The hostel is easy to get to from The Kagoshima Chuo Shinkansen station by tram and is a short walk from the ferry terminal for ferries to Sakurajima.

Bathroom en suite, everything very clean and tidy, nice powerful shower, robes and towels provided. We couldnt see hostelbookers promoted but were a bit tired and it may have been in Japanese.

The host was very friendly and spoke great english. Everything was prepared and I was able to check in early without fuss. A map was given to me with many great places to see drawn on it and contact details for the hostel incase I got lost.

Cheap place, room larger than others. Very friendly staff. But: it is a cheap placeto stay - even in the room with both sets of doors closed you hear everything. Everything outside the hotel (cars, streetcars) as well as everything inside (e.g. people using the shared toilets)
