Liked: Easy to get to, close to JR Station

Disliked: limitation and light out completely after 11pm, you can survive with a torchlight after 11pm! The entire reception area was smelly because of a big group having a big cooking session, its fun but not so good when you only need a good night sleep! 6 min restriction for bath time and warm up time for the hotwater to kick in is a total discomfort in winter!

Liked: The staff was extremely helpful and the location was perfect for visiting Miyajima. They even helped me purchase my bus ticket home!

Liked: The backpackers hostel is situated at a GREAT location just 1min from the ferry if you want to go to the amazing Miyajima Island! The staff was very nice, helpful and kind. The (female) dorms and bathrooms were good and clean! Good hot shower and you can get diner for just 500 yen. I would really stay here again if I want to visit the Island, it's a MUST SEE!

Liked: great hostel, option of a home cooked meal everynight too for a good price. Locaion perfect for the island and convenient for hiroshima too.

Disliked: it was pretty cold and the concrete walls of common room added to this.

Liked: First, the staff are fantastic. They are who make this hostel an experience that I would come back to enjoy again. This hostel is in a great location. Lovely and quiet in what feels like a rural area, yet the city and other attractions are easily gotten to using the public transport available.

Disliked: There is nothing to dislike in this property. I have no hesitation recommending it to other budget travellers.

Liked: Extremally helpful and entertaining stuff. We had a good party outside of the hostel.

Liked: The staff was so great at accommodating everyone's needs. Everything was very clean and I really enjoyed my stay. It's also a minute or so walk to the ferry terminal so it's very convenient.

Liked: Really good accomodation. Very close to Miyajima ferry terminal, just what we were looking for. Very friendly people and BBQ parties, what else? :D

Disliked: Nothing. I really enjoyed staying there

Liked: Great location!

Disliked: Too much rules.. No light after 11pm.. Only 1 shower per day, if need more shower have to pay 100yen.. Just don't like the style of this backpacker hostel.

Liked: The location is really good for people who want to visit the island of Mijashima, and the staff is really really nice! We arrived after 10 o´clock, when they closed the reception, and she waited for us to arrive in extra time, really nice!

Disliked: The rooms are not really separated with each other by walls, simply with a curtain. There´s a lot of noise and the light comes extremely strong from other rooms and in the early morning.

Liked: Helpful staff

Disliked: Plenty of bathrooms (one per floor), but only two showers on the first floor for the entire hostel. There were about ~40 guests when I stayed and it was not uncommon to wait for 30 minutes to get in the shower.

Liked: Staff are fantastic - really friendly and helpful, and it's close to public transport making it very easy to get around.

Liked: We really enjoyed our time at the hostel, it was one of the few places which still had a good number of people to meet and socialise with in the evenings. Staff go out of their way to organise activities and help where they can. It's the ideal location to hop on the ferry to Miyajima which is a lovely island and walking distance to catch the train running to Hiroshima central. Hostel was clean as well.

Disliked: This hostel is more for people who like to party and really get involved with socialising etc I would say, more of a young persons hostel though you won't be forced into joining in if you don't want to! Summer is a great time to go and particularly on a Friday where they arrange camping excursions to Miyajima Island. Cooking facilities weren't great but they often do bbq's and there's cheap enough places to eat out also.

Liked: It has a very friendly and welcoming staff. Nice common room, western and tatami rooms and it's very easy to meet people. Good location with the ferry to Miyajima, tram station and train station very close

Liked: This was the friendliest hostel I stayed at in Japan if only because of the wonderful welcoming hosts. Not the biggest hostel and facilities a little spartan, but I left wishing I had more time to stay there just for the interaction with such nice people. Close to JR station.

Disliked: Compared to other hostels it was a bit small, but compensated by the kindness of the hosts.

Liked: The staff were absolutely excellent. Ayumi and Hisa are so helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them. There is free WIFI so great for those with laptops/IPhones, a great common room with heated blankets and cushions to make yourself comfy while you watch one of the many films available. It's an easy 25 minute train ride to Hiroshima (400Y) or 45 minutes on the tram (270Y) but there are plenty of good restaurants within 2 minutes of the hostel - go next door for pizza or to the udon noodle restaurant for soup and tempura. This is a really cool, cosy place to stay. We just wish we could have stayed for more than one night!!
