Liked: Great friendly staff who socialised with guests and even cooked us some takoyaki one night.

Disliked: Of all the places I've stayed at in Japan this was the first that charged for internet use - although still had free wireless.

Liked: Everything was very clean. Reception helped identify attractions on map and suggested better routes to see local attractions.

Liked: The staff were extremely helpful and guided us with any activity or travel requirements which we had (their English was excellent too which is hard to come by in Japan). The hostel was clean and tidy and the living area was really friendly and welcoming. I stayed with my boyfriend in a double room with en-ensuite which although small and simple was very pleasant and had all the basic commodities which you would need.

Disliked: None really, just that value for money isn't great but then where is in Japan?! Everywhere is expensive so if comparing the cost to others it is probably similar.

Liked: clean, friendy and helpful staff, easy to meet people in the living room !

Disliked: the fact that all the other hostels (or guest houses) are not always like this one !

Liked: The hostel is in a great spot, and the facilities (wifi, lockers, laundry, kitchen) are top class. The staff are very helpful- helping me book my next hostel and even giving you information on tides when you go to Itsukushima (the "floating shrine")! Elevators for suitcase folk also.

Disliked: A bit quiet, but Japanese hostels generally are.

Liked: Everything - good location between train station and main sights, very helpful and friendly staff, and the people staying there seemed a decent bunch.

Liked: Unbelievably clean! Great showers, nice common room and kitchen - everything worked! I really liked my stay.

Disliked: There wasn't any desk or table in dormitory, but this was only a minor thing.

Liked: The hotsel was clean and friendly, the hosts spoke perfect english and were very willing to help. I really enjoyed my stay at the hostel, it's about a half an hour or more walk from most of the attractions but there is a tram line right around the corner. There was a cooking night, which gave everyone a chance to try to make the traditional hiroshima cuisine and also get to know everyone else. The rooms were comfortable and the top floor was a nice setting.

Liked: Excellent location, within walking distance from JR Station and most sightseeing spots. Friendly staff, clean rooms and bathroom / toilet, beds with lockers, individual lamps on bed, wifi access, brilliant hostel.

Liked: Everything. Easiest hostel to get to. Rooms were spacious compared to others I've been to for the same price. Showers and amenities were spotless. The lift means people with heavy luggage don't have to climb stairs. The super nice reception lady offered to call our next hostel for us. In general, she was simply happy to answer and questions and help us out. They allow you to leave bags after checkin to collect later. The kitchen and living room were big and clean. There was even a guitar you could use. Pity we were there for only a night!

Disliked: The internet is coin operated. Was meant to be 100 Yen for 30 minutes, but it was definitely more like 20. Not a huge gripe but kinda annoying.

Liked: K's is a friendly , clean, spacious hostel. The kitchen was outstanding as were the staff. They have origami paper and books for use (free) which was perfect for our family the night before visiting the peace memorial. The location is excellent-walking distance to peace park, close to train stations and many amenities.

Disliked: Parking is expensive ( but this not hostel parking it is city parking)

Liked: Very nice and close to the trainstation, so no hassle to get there. Very friendly and clean. Near totramway stop and walking distance to party district.

Liked: The staff were perfect and the place was absolutely spotless.

Disliked: Not much, maybe the low glass ceiling by the lift was a bother, but I'm 6'3" so a lot of doors in Japan are a problem.

Liked: Very helpful staff. About a 10 minute walk from the main area of town. Small rooms but quiet and comfortable. Free wifi.
