The easiest way to get to Hakuba is through our transfer bus that runs from Tokyo to Hakuba on Wednesday/Saturdays.
The fastest way to get to Hakuba from Tokyo is via the bullet train to Nagano, then by bus to Hakuba. The overall trip is a little under 3 hours.
Travelling to Hakuba by taxi, minivan or limousine is generally about 6 hours from Tokyo. Train
All the airports around Tokyo have direct transport to city train stations. If you need assistance at either the airport or train station, you can find English speakers at the tourist information stands.
Trains run about every half hour and the trip from Tokyo to Hakuba takes about an hour and 45 mins by bullet train.
Nagano - Hakuba Bus
Nagano is the main connecting city to Hakuba and buses run every hour until 8.30pm.

Taxis are a flexible way to get directly from the airport to Hakuba. If you arrive on a late flight to Tokyo and won't make the last 8.30pm Nagano bus, taking a taxi gives you the option of getting to the mountains without an overnight in Tokyo.

Rental Car
An international license is required for driving in Japan, and must be arranged in your home country before arriving. All types of rental cars are readily available at the airports. During winter cars come equipped with snow tyres and ski/snowboard racks are an optional extra.
