Liked: The room was as advertised - clean, basic, private. A pretty decent guesthouse for a country that doesn't seem to have a lot of backpackers. The free internet was also a plus!

Disliked: It's a bit far out from town, but the route taxis are cheap and easy. For the price it would have been nice to have a breakfast included.

Liked: Es un excelente ambiente, gente muy agradable que hacen mas amena la estadia, especialmente Richard que se encarga de mostrarte Montego y sus atracciones

Disliked: Queda bastante alejado de las playas y del sector turistico, debes tomar un auto por aproximadamente 7 0 10 minutos y luego caminar para llegar a las playas

Liked: Clean rooms, comfortable beds with secure cupboards. Free internet facilities and wifi.

Disliked: Unsafe neighborhood a long way from main beaches, expensive private taxi to property from bus depot ($800) although route (shared) taxis are cheap at $80 to downtown but difficult with luggage. Price of excursions with local guide/driver (Richard) not cheap ($1000 each to go to a local club and back one night and $500 to go to local beach and back.

Liked: This guesthouse is a very nice stop in Mobay. The staff is very helpful and nice. The guesthouse was very clean, has a nice fast internet (wifi and PC) and we didn't feel unsafe. For Mobay I would recommend this guesthouse.

Disliked: I didn't like the "special offer" for the 15 $ airport transport, you could get there for 180 Jamaican Dollar, (about 2$) , you just take a route Taxi down town for 100 J and take the next route taxi (Mt, Salem route) for 80 J to the Bethel Court Guesthouse. No Problem ;)

Liked: - Comfortable transport from the airport - Real jamaican location not in touristy area - Cheap stay for single travelers - Kind neigbours - Stable internet

Disliked: Steve only recommended day trips with his drivers and always tried to convince to stay longer at his place. He could/did not help me to find a nice hostel/guesthouse for the next location and not alluded that I have to change buses on the way to Negril. Very surprising and confusing for Jamaica newbies. The Hostel is maybe perfect for people who want to stay at one place and "only" doing day trips but not for travelers.

Liked: You are able to really experience Jamaica, apart from tourists and commercialism. Steve is a sweetheart and really wants you to have a comfortable and enjoyable experience. It's modest living, but I definitely valued the experience.

Liked: It was not in the tourist part of town. It was a true local experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They were always happy to help you out booking tours and arranging things. Close to town centre and supermarkets.

Liked: Steve is a nice guy and has this relaxed flow of communicating; exactly what you need during a relaxation vacation on Jamaica.

Disliked: Nothing particular although I can imagine that if your looking for a quiet place..this hostel isn't. Lots of youth/students visitors from all over the world (which we liked) Making friends is very easy here!

Liked: Very good orientation on the first day, Steve tells you where to go, how much it should cost and even has taxis working with him to make sure guests aren't getting ripped off.

Liked: Stevie was really an open, outgoing guy, very helpful, gregarious, great host.The private, superior room was good, but a bit on the neglected side, all kinds of blind antennae wires, cables going nowhere on the walls, lying loose on the floor, have not been upgraded recently.All in all a good place to stay for a tight budget /as ours/ far from the city center, a real excursion in the heat to get downtown from there.

Liked: Really Really friendly staff, very clean and a good place to meet people! The only hostal in Montego bay so really fun if you young and looking to meet people! Very helpful and only a dollar to the beach front.

Liked: The owners are lovely people who do everything possible to make you welcome in Jamaica. The place is situated close enough to all the tourist attractions and they provide a personal guide who assures your safety while you're out and about. They cleaned the dorms daily. They arranged my transport from the airport. This is THE best value for your dollar/euro!

Liked: We stayed in a self contained flat, which was fully furnished with own kitchen and bathroom. It was in a convenient location - close to the airport, local shops. We had a lovely stay and Steve is a great host.

Liked: Geräumiges Mehrbett haus, leider hat der ausgemachte preis nicht gestimmt und wir müssten 20 euro statt ausgemachten 14 bezahlen, aufpassen auf die typen die das hotel zur verfügung stellt, da die nur auf abzocken unterwegs sind, jedoch zeigen sie dir einiges von montego bay was man sonstt nicht sehen würde, da es alleine schwer möglich ist in gewisse teile der stadt zu gehen und den underground zu entecken!. ganz okay für 1- 2 tage!
