Liked: The apartment is very well presented and clean, it feels like you are staying in someone's home and not a hostel. Facilities are very good and there is lots of choice for breakfast. The lovely owner is really helpful and lives just across the road so you are left to yourselves. Location is very good.

Liked: It was clean and organized. They offer use of the kitchen (of the stove, only if you bring your own pots etc.) and a good breakfast. The location is really good, just a 5 minute walk from the Dumo.

Liked: This place is brilliant! from the moment we arrived we were blown away by how friendly the owner was - she gave us a full run down on Verona and helped us set up a walking plan for the next day. the place is in a fantastic location, and is better set up than home! free tea and coffee, buscuits, crossaints and juices etc. Free washer and dryer. The rooms were big and comfortable and the bathrooms clean and spacious. We were so impressed we would have stayed longer if they werent booked. If staying in Verona, this is the place to do it!

Liked: Absolutely beautiful guesthouse just a few minutes walk from the city centre, which is stunning too. We were given a very helpful guide to the area (the Verona card is a bargain at just Eu10 for all the main attractions in the city) and the breakfast was delicious. Very highly recommended!

Liked: 1. The person who checked us in was incredibly friendly, welcoming and gave us fantastic information even though we had kept her waiting a long time. She was relaxed and reassuring.2. The B&B is set up so you can be completely independent with a generous amount of food available at all times of the day and the possibility to cook for yourself. Supermarket very close.3. It was extremely clean.4. Fantastic location with 24hr secure parking available nearby. I would rate it EXCELLENT for our purposes, we were very pleasantly surprised. Thumbs up for Guest House Castelvecchio

Liked: The guest house functions like a private apartment, which was a nice change from hostels and hotels after a long time travelling. However, this means you have to get your time of arrival right as there is not always someone at the apartment. Marina came within 15 minutes after we arrived an hour earlier than expected. Marina was a warm and friendly host who gave us a lot of information about the area and things to do in Verona. Her restaurant recommendations were excellent.The room was clean, while the shared common area and kitchen facilities were a bonus, offering a cosy haven where we could take a break from sightseeing during the day, particularly as the apartment was so close to the key sights in Verona.Security was good, as the apartment is in a private building with external locks, while each room in the apartment also has its own key.The guesthouse offered good value for Verona, where accomodation is very expensive in summer.

Disliked: The air-conditioning didn't work properly during our visit (though this was a bonus that was not promised when we booked). However, as we chose the room with a/c instead of a fan we ended up sweltering as there was a heatwave on the 2 nights we stayed in Verona. Marina assured us the A/C will be fixed very soon. Until then - take the room with the fan.

Liked: I liked its youth hostel idea of a breakfast / social room in the middle for people to congregate. It could get a bit loud if you were in the room adjoining that particular room though! It was a fun place to stay and the owner is lovely :) However, it is very hard to find and the directions are not the best - it's further than you think and it is practically impossible to find the major road leading up to it as there are no signs on the road. Take a taxi, it won't cost you much - oh and the only way you can find the actual B&B is by looking at the buzzers - there is no outside signage of the fact that it is even there which is a little frustrating if you can't find the place!

Liked: Great located flat next to the Arena. Nice bed- and bathrooms. There is also a pc for internet and a tv and dvd set in the kitchen. A frying pan is missing in the kitchen right now so our cooking was limited to the microwave.

Liked: This B&B is in fact a flat in which you get a private room. They have very few rooms (which is why we say it's not a place to meet people), and because of that it feels very homely. We loved the atmosphere, the apartment is very spacious and we loved the recommendations given with a smile when we arrived. We also loved the Christmas decorations they hung :-)
