Teng Leweng TeangThe staff were not very helpful. they continued charging the weekend rate although I went on a week day. I felt a little cheated by the location. They say that it's walking distance from some square. But Venice is really not that big. So almost everywhere is within walking distance. Howver, the room I had was pretty nice. Although it was really small, the wallpaper was quite pretty. And i liked having breakfast at the hotel next door |

Customer reviewWhile its located far from the train station, it is close to the boat stop Accademia and the ferry service to the Airport is right next to it. |

Angelo BaacoThe place is actually a mini hotel that's owned by a higher numbered star hotel across the street. The fancier (and probably much more expensive) hotel is where you'll have a pretty good and free breakfast. The place is pretty quiet and it feels very much like being in a nice room in a guest house. The place is really close to the vaporetto stop. The only negative I can think of is that you have to call or go across the street if you need anything. |

Customer reviewwe liked it very much! the breakfast in hotel bel arti was nice. we did NOT like the fact that there was no reception desk in our hotel, so everybody could just walk in and out --> that is why we did not feel save to leave precious things in our room. |

Customer reviewI've stayed here once before and came back because I found it to be good value for money. The rooms are clean, safe, warm in winter and cool in summer. There are clean white towels in the bathrooms that are replaced daily. There is a wide variety of good quality breakfast foods available every morning across at the Hotel Belle Arti - several different fruits, yoghurt, wholemeal bread, delicious white bread rolls, ham, cheese, fruit spreads, cereal and crispbreads. The espresso coffee is wonderful. The place is peaceful and quiet and is a perfect place to stay if you want 'no frills' accommodation. It is very close to the Accademia bridge; from there it is very easy to walk to San Marco and Rialto, or you can take a vaporetto boat from the bridge to these or other destinations. There are no management staff in the Domus Cavanis building, but this doesn't really matter. I would be happy to stay again at this hostel and have no hesitation in recommending it. |

Customer reviewYou are actually in a hotel not a hostel, plus your room comes with the same continental breakfast that you would get if you stayed in the hotel (which is considered one of the best in the area by a lot of guide books). The staff is also very very helpful, one of the girls I was with forgot to print her voucher for a tour and the front desk staff went above and beyond to help her out. My only complaint is that even though they let you leave your things if your room isn't ready (or after you've checked out) its in a room that is right by the front door, doesn't lock, and can't be seen by any of the staff from the front desk. Also, the directions from this site aren't very good. If you're coming off of the vaporetto stop "Academia" immediately take a left and pass the public toilets then take your first right. The hostel is inside of the "Hotel Belle Arte" which will be about a block up on your right. Overall it was a great place to stay!!! |
