Liked: very disconnected from the intensity of the main island. If the weather is nice, its a good place to be, if not, then it can cut into your time. The staff was very good.

Liked: The hostel was very clean (they give u towel and change your bedding for you every day!) and the staff were really helpful and friendly!it is very important to note though, that this hostel is a 25 min boat ride from main land venice and although the hostel itself is cheep, you have to buy a boat pass (15 euro for 24 hours, 25 euro for 48 hours) to get off the island it is on (and there is very little to do there) but if you know and plan for this you can still have lots of fun while staying here!! (we did!)

Liked: The hostel was very big and clean. The staff was very helpful and nice. The beds are very comfortable, and the location is a peaceful retreat from the crowds of Venice. This is the hostel for travelers who like to experience the city and at night enjoy the peace of the country. I would come again.

Liked: This hostel was a much needed refuge from a hectic trip. The beds were extremely comfortable. The location made it feel like I was on a little secluded island, not touristy Venice.

Liked: its off on its own little island so a little out of the way, but the atmosphere and the staff more than make up for that. It's quiet, clean and the staff is extremely helpful. Definitely recommend this place. Just bring some bug repellent for when you are outside by the water.

Liked: Located on a beautiful and surprisinglly authentic island with hardly any cars. Aesthetic and unique in its (tasteful) simplicity. The 30-minute boat ride is actually rather pleasant at the beginning and end of the day. Emanuele and Tonino are extremely friendly. When my fiance forgot his bagpack in the van used by the staff (on request) to pick up and take guests from and to the bus-boat, Tonino came back within a few minutes to hand it to us so we wouldn't miss the boat. (Thanks so much for that, Tonino!). Staff will also provide a sheet with recommend restaurants in Venice. Do take half a day or so to tour the island on the hotel's free bikes and use those same bikes to bike to the boat-bus stop. I further recommend that you visit some of the other island surrounding Venice and S. Erasmo, like Burano.

Liked: I really enjoyed my stay here - The staff were friendly and helpful- I felt more like a guest than just a paying customer. The houses' verandah and lawned gardens, (with shade providing trees) are nice places to relax My room was clean and comfortable - I was glad of the ceiling fan! My room overlooked fields, and I was surprised on my first morning to wake to the sound of a tractor - It's sometimes difficult to remember that You're so near to Venice!There is a fridge stocked with beer, water and soft drinks in reception - a 'honesty box' system operates.Breakfast was quite good - it included local Sant Erasmo honey and some Fairtrade productsThere are bikes for hire (free) -which I didn't get around to trying.I will certainly return here again - It's in my Top 10 of favourite places I've stayed.

Liked: The hostel was very comfortable. At first I felt it was a bit far from central Venice but after a day you I'd begun to appreciate the distance. Staff were friendly, Emmanuel was exceptional!! You can be sure that these people will take care of you.

Liked: Beautiful location on a quiet rural island only 30 minutes by boat from Venice. Boats run hourly or more often 24 hours/day. Huge house with large rooms, private bath with tiny shower, elevator, great sitting porch, bikes to rent. Met people in the dining room, but communal living area was closed by 8:30 p.m. the day we were there. Not a party spot, but great place to relax away from the crowds. Great value. I would definitely stay here again - longer.

Liked: I loved this hostel a lot. You have to catch 2 boats to get there but it is worth it, even just to relax on the boat on the way there! Its a nice quiet island with a restaurant about a 10min walk away next to the sea. It was very clean, had nice showers, breakfast was filling too. All the staff were friendly. They also do a pickup service from the boat stop on the island, and free bike rental. The door is always open so you dont have to worry about a curfew. I would definitely recommend this hostel and would go back.
