It's a very cosy, family-run place where my friend and I felt very comfortable. We had a lovely room overlooking a canal with a huge bathroom. The staff is very helpful and friendly and breakfast was big and very filling :) Great value for money. Unfortunately the place IS rather hard to find but never worry, you can easily gather a group of friendly Venetians around you who will help you try to find the place. If you are really lost ring up the hostel and someone will pick you up!

Excellent location, stylish, clean, very tasteful and comfortable. staff couldn't be more helpful. It was a delightful experience staying at del Doge.

Was in a good quiet location with very helpful staff. bedroom was huge and comfortable. Breakfast was a huge cooked meal that kept you going until lunch.

Very good location (close to Rialto), nice and helpfull staff, excellent brekfast. We had double room with romantic view on the canal. We'll come back for sure:)

Great location, 5 mins from Rialto Bridge, near Santa Maria Formosa, overlooking canal. Large room with high ceiling, typically venetian. Friendly staff, good cooked breakfast. Own key to front door.

Excellent staff, good breakfast. Very small room on busy canal--you may want earplugs. Nice bath shared by two rooms.

Location and breakfast were excellent, however the size of the room was very small for the price with a shared bathroom but maybe for Venice this is normal. It was my first time in Venice.

The owner is a very wonderful lady. The breakfast was fantastic and it made u feel so at home to stay at Residenza del doge. Excellent accomodation though the location is a bit difficult to locate. however it is a good way to explore venice..

Nicola and his girlfriend were very friendly and helpful. They provide a terrific breakfast too!! The location was very handy to everything.

The couple running the hostel was very helpful and friendly, you feel more like staying with friends than in a hostel. Even though we just spent one night at the Residenza del doge.

Great location walking distance from Rialto Bridge and Waterbus route and to St Mark's Square in the other direction. A little tricky to locate for me as through back streets and authentic Venice, but easy once located. The couple who run the hostel could not help enough and were so friendly and helpful. The decor is modern/Venitian and bright and clean with air conditioning. Very quiet location too. Excellent value for money.

The Hostel was fantastic, it was a beautiful Bed and Breakfast, in a fantastic location. The staff were lovely and it had everything we needed. It was really a great surprise to find such a lovely place to stay, for such a good price in the perfect location. It was really Italian and authentic!
