Liked: Great location, fab view of the canal and really quaint place - like somone's house, not a hotel. Seriously quiet at night and great value considering it's Venice - and you get breakfast included.

Disliked: We were initially overcharged, but this was sorted once I pointed it out. The bed was a little lumpy - but this is no worry. I'd stay there again and recommend it highly.

Liked: This is a quiet B&B, which is near Rialto. Most important of all, it is clean and it offers great breakfast!

Disliked: The shower became too hot, or too cold, from time to time. But it is still acceptable!

Liked: This property was all we could ask for at the price we paid. It was in a great location close the St. Mark's Square and the Rialto Bridge. The room was basic but clean and had air conditioning which was a must.

Liked: This is a gorgeous old Venetian home to stay in. The bedrooms were beautifully set up, the breakfast was absolutely delicious, the owners looked after us so thoughtfully, it was really close to the centre of town, we loved waking up to church bells every morning, the views out the window of bridges, canals, boats etc was spectacular.

Liked: I stayed here with my boyfriend in Jan 2010 and it was really nice. Its basically a couples house and they have 3 rooms which they hire out. The couple were lovely and made an AMAZING breakfast. Its a bit tricky to find at first but its in a really good spot about 7 mins walk to san marco and a 2 minute walk to a whole bunch of shops. The place was really clean and there was an ensuite bathroom. Id highly reccomend it to couples but not people who are looking to meet others.

Liked: Residenza del Doge offers great priced accommodation right in the heart of Venice. The staff were extremely kind, helpful and interested, both in us and in helping us get the best out of the trip. The rooms were on the small side - which turned out to be perfect for winter - and a beautiful view out to the canals behind was a stunning location. I would recommend this hostel to any friend.

Liked: The staff is very polite, the breakfast is more than pleasant and the best I came upon in a hotel of that kind. The hotel itself contribute to the historical atmosphere of Venice. Visit and you will be charmed.

Liked: I loved that the was right in Venice. It was only a 10-15 minute walk to St. Mark's Square, Rialto Bridge, shopping, restaurants and many more sights. It had lots of charm and the breakfast was excellent. The owner was friendly and very helpful. Our room looked out onto the canal. Our bathroom was huge and also looked out into the canal. I would definately stay here again.

Liked: It's a very cosy, family-run place where my friend and I felt very comfortable. We had a lovely room overlooking a canal with a huge bathroom. The staff is very helpful and friendly and breakfast was big and very filling :) Great value for money. Unfortunately the place IS rather hard to find but never worry, you can easily gather a group of friendly Venetians around you who will help you try to find the place. If you are really lost ring up the hostel and someone will pick you up!

Liked: Very good location (close to Rialto), nice and helpfull staff, excellent brekfast. We had double room with romantic view on the canal. We'll come back for sure:)
