The place was nice enough, but one of the staff members was pretty rude (the other one was really nice). The rooms are pretty plain with hard concrete floors, but the amenities are nice enough and the location is good (near both the bus and train station but still on a quiet street. One morning there was no hot water for a half hour (there is only one bathroom on each floor for maybe 5 rooms).

Very convenient location near the train & bus station. Has air conditioning, and a shared coffee machine with nice coffee. ;-)

Location was reasonable. Close enough to the train station and piazzale roma, and there was a lovely portion of the canal within a quick walk.

The lady who served us was a scary woman who did nothing to be accomodating at all. First of all she barked at us and led us up to our room which wasn't ready so we got updated to a suite for the night which was lovely. But she didn't tell us what to do so the next day we had to hang around until she came and told us to be out in ten minutes. Not great as we wasted one of our few days. Room was nice looking but had an odd smell. Breakfast was so rubbish we didn't eat it. But the value for money for Venice is very good. Would not stay here again unless I was desperate.

After arrving to the hostel we were very surprised at how small and run down our room was considering how much we paid. I would not recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Venice.

Ca Dario is generally a good place to stay in. i stayed in the 3 people room and we are given a big room. Breakfast wasn't fantastic but good as coffee machine is provided. Considering the price, it looks a trifle expensive but all hotels at Venice is expensive so i think the price is fine. the staff is friendly, pretty and very helpful. there is mosquitoes at night around Venice so i would suggest to close the window of your room unless you might want to feed them. Venice is a very romantic place and Ca Dario is a good and quite place to stay in.

Loved the fact that it was near the train station...but the sad thing about this place was the beautiful garden out front...which attracted massive amounts of MOSQUITOES!!! They were everywhere...in the hallways and the bathroom!

Excellent location, close to train station and car parking, nice quiet area, walking distance to major tourist attractions. Uncomplicated check-in procedures, even though we arrived later in the evening. Snacks are provided in the room, sheets and bathroom was clean, however curtains and wall was spotted with dozens of smashed mosquitoes (and hence also blood spots). There were many more than just one night's hunt, which means that this has just not been cleaned up (at least the curtains) over a longer period of time. This is just disgusting and in my opinion inexcusable.

You really feel you are in Venice. The room is perfectly located and quiet. Just open the window, and can see boats and gondola by chance.
