Customer reviewGreat value for money. Location is not on the actual island of Venice (ie where all the canals, etc are) which is good as you don't have to drag your suitcases up and down stairs over cobbled stones, but a bit futher away from the action. Only takes about 20 mins to get to Venice though - public transport is cheap and reliable and they have a shuttle bus in the mornings and evenings.. Staff were extremely helpful. Restaurant was closed but they shuttled us (for free) to a nearby cheap and cheerful restaurant. Room was lovely, cleaned every day. Overall, a good place to stay and I would go back there again. |

Evan StokerIt was a little ways outside the city and was in a very small quiet town with friendly people. Our room was very clean. The younger staff was very helpful and spoke great English and made suggestions to go to the city and explained exactly how to use the buses and ferries. |

Dmitry KonovalovHorrible experience. It is seems that walls in this hotel made from paper! You can hear anything what happens in whole building, yard, reception, other floors and rooms, so, it is completely impossible to sleep. Also, be careful about this hotel location - our GPS showed it completely wrong, so it is better to print a map from google maps before your trip. However, pretty good 2eur transfer to/from Venice center, very helpful english-speaking stuff, 17th century furniture provides nice atmosphere, price is pretty low. Breakfast was not included even it was stated as included while booking |

Fu XiIt is total different with describer on the web, the hotel is very very very far from the city, we paied for 16Euro for transportation from train station to the hotel with CASH only, the car is private car belong to the staff. We have problem with transportation service payment and wanted to get explaination from the staff, but he rudely refused talking to us, only ask CASH, No cash no room key. very bad experience |

Charlene BearheadWe loved this hostel. We stayed at 4 different hostels on this trip and the Villa Dori was by far the best choice. It was spacious, charming and the location was perfect. We had the benefit of being out of the dirt and clutter of the city but the benefit of the shuttle that was a God send. The customer service, especially with the shuttel service, was the best that we had anywhere. I would choose this hostel again in a second. |

Customer reviewOf course it's not like staying in the heart of Venice. But we got into town and back again with no problem, and considering the money we saved, it was certainly a good idea to stay here. (And the rooms are fine and the staff VERY pleasant.) |

Customer reviewIt was indeed very quiet, we enjoyed the breakfast. We got there by car, hadn't we had a GPS it would have been so difficult to get there only with the info they provide... Nice place.. recommend it. |

David AncelinLocation is rural but excellent bus service to Venezia and staff is very helpful with directions. Shuttle from hotel to Venezia is inexpensive. A nice quiet area, away from crowds. A lot of food at a great breakfast for a reasonable price, too. Room very lovely and decorated in brocade to ressemble french atmosphere. Great place to stay. |
