Liked: This is one of the best hostels I ever stayed at. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location cannot be better, you can walk around, and go back to your room have a rest, then continue your journey. Very clean and the bed was comfortable. Met some great people there.

Disliked: The windows in the 5-bed dorm makes strange noise, they should be replaced

Liked: The place is just a walking distance to Rialto Bridge, Rialto Market. You can also walk from the hostel to Basilica de San Marco. The staff is friendly and helpful. Room is great and breakfast is good. There is a living room where you can sit and chit chat around and there is also a pool to play with.

Liked: Location is great and it's really easy to find it. Staff is helpfull, just talk to them if you need anything! Wifi is free and it works in the bedrooms!! The bathrooms are always clean and I loved the breakfast! Just enjoy Venice!!

Liked: In a good location for the Rialto bridge, popular tourist spots and all water bus (vaporetto & airport transfer) links. Female dorm was bunk bed free which was quite nice. Just for INFO: *** Hostel Bookers doesn't advertise the venice tourist tax just the room rate. This tax is additional to the balance you are quoted as paying. When I stayed it was 3 Euro's PER night***

Disliked: The facilities really were very average, no reading lights for each bed meant the main light remained on more than necessary. The female dorm is in the loft space which is characterful but it was nearly too warm even with a 19 deg C outside temperature. No air conditioning other than to open the windows which do not have insect mesh on so all the mosquitos come in. There was a uv bug zapper in the room but it was very ineffectual. Outside the window (which was open to try to cool things down) was a loud generator/ air conditioner (maybe for another room) that came on through the night on both nights I stayed. Liked: Staff was really nice, but weren't around too much. In this way though we were able to sort of make an effort to feel a bit at home and meet other travelers. Good breakfast and generally quiet. Great central location and easy to get to using the vaporetto.

Disliked: Some mosquitoes and bugs in the room. On my last night, discovered a few black bugs on my pillow. Place could probably use a good cleaning and maybe less plants around. More information on where to go, a bulletin board of events and suggestions would be helpful.

Liked: The location, definately. Breakfast was also good, the people working there were also nice.

Disliked: You need to climb high stairs to get to the hostel. The other thing is the decoration. It gives you a very bad sensation the different tacky styles in the lamps, the walls, the furniture. It is fine for one or two nights because you are out most of the day, but honestly they should do something about it.

Liked: The staffs were very friendly and willing to help. Wifi is free and fast. Shower is hot. The room was quite cold but the blanket is actually warm enough so thats ok.

Liked: The hostel has a really nice location in front of the Jazz bar which would have their live music in the summer time. Nice breakfast and nice view. For the girl dorm, it has a really nice arrangement since it is on the rooftop. Would definitely recommend for others!

Liked: Very cosy homely feel - really nice atmosphere, and the entrance up the stairs to the building is very cool - Venetian crumbling chic - very nice and shiny on the inside tho, & very clean.

Liked: it's like a home..... very clean and i love my bedroom design on room 8. Staff doing very well and very friendly.

Liked: The staff was very nice and extremely helpful. The woman who greeted us at the desk spoke very good English and was very helpful in recommending food, directions, and sites in the area. They provided us with three keys: one for the main door, a middle door, and our room. Needless to say, I felt like our stuff was pretty secure there. There was a modest breakfast that was provided in the morning but there was plenty for everyone. The beds were comfortable and some of the cleanest I have seen in a hostel. The hostel had a pool table that was available for guests use free of charge. The staff let us leave our stuff in the hostel after we checked out so that we could continue to sight see before our flight. There are several areas to eat right around the hostel and Sweet Dreams is in a perfect location for all the sites.

Disliked: It was very cold in the hostel. I do not think that the heat was on until the last day of our stay. The bathrooms were a little uncomfortable because all of the females had to share one shower and one toilet in a common bathroom.

Liked: Nice staff, comfortabe, spacious and safe. The hostel room that I had booked was full so I was put in a big room on my own which was really nice.

Disliked: Rooms don't lock which isn't so good and where you shower is quite open too, you can only lock the shower door, not the room in which you shower. Good for not having to wait for the bathroom while people are showering but not so good for privacy. Is a girls only bathroom though I think so not too bad. Also, was quite cold and heating wasn't turned on at all (middle of winter when I was there). Oh and 2 euros is a little steep for a towel for a night and wuite expensive for a one night stay, wish I could have stayed in Venice for 2 nights! Still had a really nice stay though and would definately recommend to others :)

Liked: Venice is expensive anyway, but this place was definitely worth it. :) We spent two nights in the all-girls dorm. Not only were our roommates wonderful (which of course helped!) but the staff very friendly and accommodating, always there if we had a question and very nice. The living space had two tables, a television which none of us really watched anyway and that played music through the day, a pool table, a bar, sofas and chairs and a small library. The room itself was beyond charming. Plenty of room for everyone, no bunk beds, extremely comfortable beds. We were going to have a late arrival and let the staff know, and they were there expecting us. It's a bit difficult to find if you don't have a map (so get one before you go!) but if you've got one or are smart enough to read the directions for "from the water bus stop" you shouldn't have any trouble. :)

Disliked: Nothing to dislike.

Liked: It is in a beautiful building and the staff are the kindest and friendliest people! :)

Disliked: The room was a bit cold (in late November), but they offered more blankets, and they also offered to switch my room for a warmer one, but I liked the canal view out my window. :)
