Liked: even though we actually got moved to a nearby sister hostel, we were still invited to the free dinner and encouraged to come hang out at the main hostel, which was really nice. the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating, and it was in a really nice area near the train station.

Disliked: nothing really. everything was in order, safe, and clean!

Liked: The guys that run this hostel are a lot of fun and join in with the people staying. They also cook a fabulous dinner for everyone!

Disliked: the lack of showers. Only 2 for about 30 people so there was a line in the morning

Liked: The Fish has a great and friendly staff, and having communal dinners makes it a great place to meet other travelers.

Disliked: I think the Fish was being renovated when I stayed there, and they shuffled beds about a few times, and a couple of the rooms looked rather makeshift. But the character of the staff and fun times we had made up for any confusion!

Liked: I loved this place. It was a great place to meet fellow travelers and everybody I ran into was really nice. Plus...free dinner!

Liked: The hostel serves a free dinner in the main room, which was a great place to stay while it was raining outside, so I met a lot of great people here. The atmosphere at the hostel is also great, as it is located in some old building and even has a separate bridge to its door. Besides, the guys from the hostel take all the guests out in the evening, so you can explore Venice at night.

Disliked: Due to some reasons they have a lockout between 10 am and midday, so you obviously have to leave early.

Liked: Amazing place, just tons of fun. We stayed at a sister hostel which had an even better location, comfy beds, and extremely clean. The best part about stayin there was we still got to go to the fish for its amazing dinner and nightlife.

Disliked: Nothing stay here, if you are a couple it may not be the best fit, but as cousins it was perfect.

Liked: Venice Fish was AWESOME! This comment won't even do it justice. Venice Fish (overall) the staff, the building, and everything has a lot of personality and character. Great location, right on the island on Venice and really close to the train station. Definitely come here if you are looking to have some fun, meet new people and really enjoy your stay in Venice... Come here!

Disliked: I dislike that I had to leave and that I couldn't stay longer.

Liked: Met a lot of people. Fun dinner. Environment.

Disliked: Bed bugs!! Bed looked cleaned but I got few bed bug bites all over. Not enough bathrooms. Not that clean.

Liked: The staff was very friendly and all the people i've met there. They were doing renovations ther, so we got moved to another apartment of theirs 3 minutes away from Piazza San Marco. that was a blast! Dinner included it's perfect!

Disliked: the place where we got moved did not had a kitchen as they got that place just a week before. everything else was good!

Liked: Nat. He is pure awesome. Everyone is lovely and they really make you feel at home. Fun as anything! Awesome good time!

Liked: Just near from the main station.

Disliked: Bed bugs bit me all over and itching were continuing for 2 weeks. It is really contaminated place. Staff were always thinking about money. Charge for wifi although hostelbookers describes it is free. They asked me move to 10 Bed room although I booked and paid an amount of 5 bed room. I asked him discount but he refused and asked another girls to move. Free hot drinks were always run out. Staff said we could buy a map in discount price in the kiosk in front of hostel if we told we were staying Venice fish. However, price was as same as other shops or even expensive although a seller said it was discount price. They forgot to put my laundry into dryer and just left it more than 1 day because they were drinking every night and sleeping in day time. However, they never apologised. Bathrooms smells horrible. Irresponsible and disorganised. It's the worst hostel in the world.

Liked: Well, they actually sent us to a different location, that was even nicer then A Venice Fish! I loved the winding stair case, the balcony's overlooking a lagoon, and the place was so clean!

Disliked: Nothing!

Disliked: The room with 4 beds was an extra room of a room with 6 beds. We had to go trough the 6 bed room to get to our room

Liked: The people there were very friendly. The location of the place is easy to find, and not too far from the water way station.

Disliked: The condition of the rooms is less optimal than the description. My friends and me was a little bothered by the bugs in bed.

Liked: The sister hostel was EXTREMELY nice and in a great quiet location and the main hostel is very conveniently located by the train and bus stations.

Disliked: The staff seemed very loose and disorganized.

Liked: ok they moved me when i got there so these ratings are based on their sister property, the sister property was nice, its a quicker location and all rooms over look the canal which is nice, but if you want to meet ppl its best to be done at the actual Venice Fish itsel, as the sister property has no lounge area, but it is clean and modern. can't rate the venice fish as i didn't stay there. The staff were nice though.

Disliked: Perhaps a pre warning bout the move would be good/courtious. Other then that all was well

Liked: Fantastic place to stay!!!! Great hostel to meet other travellers. Staff are really friendly and fun. Dinner is provided FREE and served in the dining room, so its easy to get to know the other people staying there. I was sick when I was there and the staff was extremely helpful and made my experience much easier. Great location, close to the train station and shops. Overall, great atmosphere and really nice place to stay!!

Disliked: only 2 showers, so its hard to get up and out the door really quickly in the morning, but still a great place!

Liked: The hostel is EXTREMELY centrally located, with a picturesque balcony overlooking a canal (with their own personal bridge crossing it!) The dinner is a wonderful chance to meet other travelers! The staff played drinking games with us after the dinner, and showed us some really really fun bars! The previous night, they put on a movie in the main common room- another great time to hang out. The staff were all SO excited to show off venice- and gave great advice. FAVORITE HOSTEL I'VE STAYED AT!

Disliked: The ONLY bad thing may have been that some of the rooms are located in a sister hostel near st. mark's square (which is even better location) but you would have to walk for 15 mins for dinner.

Liked: I loved the free pasta dinners! The staff was super fun and friendly! They took us out and got us back and we had a great time! We actually slept at a different hostel cause the Venice Fish was under construction but we ate at the Fish and it was nice. Right over a canal. We had a ton of fun there! Best hostel of our Euro-trip!

Disliked: The staff was disorganized. People were waiting for their rooms for a while, dinner was always late, and the bathrooms were kinda dirty.

Liked: The location is perfect.

Disliked: This hostel is quite dirty. I would not recommend it for staying more than one night. We didn't feel comfortable to have dinner there, so we went out for eating at night.
