Liked: The atmosphere in this place is amazing, the dinner is a great way to socalise and then get ready for the drinks in the evening

Disliked: There was a queue for the showers and bathroom but that was my only problem

Liked: Loved the free dinners and hanging out with everyone at nights. Location was good, didn't have to walk too far to see all the sights. All the staff were incredible, had so much fun with them!

Disliked: Nothing!

Liked: The location

Disliked: There were only two bathrooms. I was sent to a room with 14 beds, even though I had booked for an 8 bed dorm. The common spaces weren't clean, the meal was substandard and I got bitten extensively by bed bugs. You could see blood stains in the wall nexts to the beds, from bedbugs that had been blasted there by previous guests. I killed at least eight of those insects in a row, as they crawled from beneath my sheets and pillow.

Liked: Amazing way to meet everyone at the dinners and its delicious food too. Only two bridges from train station so not too many stairs for suitcases

Disliked: Lock out started at 10, early to get out when it prides itself on its pub crawls. Lock out lasts til about 4 when they undo all the bunks and then put them back together. I would've been pretty annoyed if all my stuff was moved from my bed then put back as was the case with most people. But all in all I loved the atmosphere so its still worth putting up with that for

Liked: The free meal at dinner time was a great way to meet people and it had a good atmosphere. The location was also excellent.

Disliked: Some of the staff were not very helpful or professional. The rooms were not secure and there were bedbugs! There are only two showers for all the guests and they were not very clean.

Liked: The location and the staff.

Disliked: Too many beds in the rooms and more than we have booked, only 2 bathrooms for too many people. Lets say also it was not very clean.

Liked: First of all this property is located in the best part of Venice because it is right before the madness starts on the way to San Marco, its like at 12pm everyone walks out to flood the streets and it gets to be like Disneyland with no fun rides! The property itself is large and able to take in quite a few travelers and it is run well. The cast of Ladies and Gents that host you here are class act for what this Hostel offers! Jacob (Lockout Master and Great Team Leader), Danny (Great Welcome Host and makes you feel right at home!), Pete ( Great Musician, if you are lucky you will catch a show of his out front of the hostel!) ,Carly ( Sweet as they come, you are lucky to meet this fine lady!) Sophie ( Awesome! hangs with the best of them and if your lucky you will hang out with her too!) and newcomer Austin (Respectable guy and can host a bar like no other!) this crew could not have been cast better than Oceans 13 they are what make this house what it is! Please do not go to this hostel if you are looking to save some cash and expect no bites from what ever you want to blame it on, you are living off the water where they do too, especially in the summer! This is a youth hostel and i am in my mid 30's and expected all of the problems other travelers had which were few! Hats off to this crew that does what they do everyday, its amazing! If you come with a young heart and open mind with no expectations the Fish will be a memorable experience for you! All others need not Apply!!!!! They have a wonderful fish tank as well :)

Liked: The staff were very friendly and they offered free dinner and to show you some places to drink after dinner.

Disliked: Only 2 bathrooms for roughly 50. We booked a single sex room but were given a mixed, this didn't really bother us much but others may feel differently. No lock on room doors, beds were average, no luggage security at all during stay and once checked out. Lots if added extras such as linen 3 euros, bag storage after 12pm 5euros. Almost too casual, still doing room allocations when we arrived at 6pm. Probably wouldnt do it again if we had the choice.

Liked: Good location. The staff were very welcoming and helpful especially Carly and Austin. Free dinner was definately a highlight!

Liked: Great party atmosphere and free food at night

Disliked: Very loud music at 9.00 in the morning?? Only 2 bathrooms in the whole of the hostel. Expect to wait!

Liked: The staff are all wonderful. They're so young, fun and friendly and they actually hang out and drink with you. I liked that they took us out at night because otherwise I would have had no idea where to go to have fun. Its just a crazy hostel to party in, but it also just really mellows you out.

Disliked: Not enough bathrooms- 3 toilets and 2 showers for all those people, and it was really hot. There weren't bed bugs though much as everyone says, just mosquitoes because of the Venice heat. Also the internet didn't work after 7:30 at night.

Liked: Location.. Centre. in 10min from station, by walk.

Disliked: Green Door to hell.. Bed bugs on the beds, noizy party at the lobby, just a step from the room. 50 person, 2 toillets. only.. only 6 person can take shower in time. staff sleeps more than guest, bcz of party last night.

Liked: I loved this place. Stayed only 2 nights with a friend while backpacking. The staff are all backpackers which is awesome as you are treated like a big group of friends. Jacob is awesome! The staff knock off and drink with everyone and the free dinner is a great bonus! Plus the view of the canal and the gondola stop is really cool.

Disliked: Lockers would have been a good addition as there is no where to store luggage. Also the 2 bathroom thing can be a pain.

Liked: It is a great hostel for meeting people and partying. I had a great night... if you can put up with a bit of chaos and don't mind sharing a room with lots of new people.. you will love it. Only hostel Ive been to that is very social and where everybody goes out as a group.

Disliked: Nothing really.

Liked: The staff are all really nice, and make dinner every night so people can mingle and meet the other travelers staying.

Disliked: It is a bit out of the center of town, but withing a 30 minute walk you can be at Piazza San Marco.

Liked: Very cool vibe, good pub crawl and a decent dinner. The main room and balcony were fantastic.

Disliked: The rooms didn't have locks so you had to rely on the honour system. They could use more bathrooms. Lastly the 10am to noon lockout is inconvenient. Basically everyone is awake in the building at 9am if you lik it or not.

Liked: I believe it was a youth hostel so the other travelers were really friendly and vibrant. The place was also great for meeting new people and they even provided dinner

Liked: very central, friendly staff, free meal in communal area meant we got to chat to other travellers

Disliked: the description said they take you out in Venice but the night we stayed everyone was too hungover, other than that no real issues - just remember to get up early so you dont have to queue for the showers!

Liked: The staff are very friendly and they are helpful and the location is perfect, i like the dinner idea as it makes ya get to know poeple if you are traveling alone,,i didnt face any problem with safety and i recommend that hostel to anyone who wants to have fun really as the staff are really friendly and helpful

Disliked: the hostel is so old and beds are not good and i didnt like that everyone needs to get out from the hostel from 10 to 12 for cleaning as you they wake ya up at 9 with loud music which is not convienent if you slept late.also i didnt like that i have to pay for the bed sheets and even to leave my luaguge in the storage room till my flight
