Liked: fantastic communal atmosphere, free dinner which is always helpful in a city as expensive as venice, and a great place for meeting other travellers

Liked: This hostel was a fun place to stay for the atmosphere and people, overall was cheap for high season in Venice and provided free breakfast and dinner but I can only describe the property as unorganised chaos and not the cleaniest. Very near the train station.

Liked: This was a really fun hostel, free dinner was great and the staff took everyone out each night. Free internet was also good. A great place to meet new people, remember your bug spray though as the cooling is via fans and open windows

Liked: It was in a good location, close to the train station and only about 20 minutes to St Mark's Square and the Rialto.It was a fun atmosphere and we were invited to go out for drinks with staff and other guests.

Liked: breakfast AND dinner included in the price! So, that pretty well offsets the higher price in Venice. Bathrooms scarce, but good place to chat and hook up with other travelers. Pretty hot, no air, but with the price....

Liked: we loved nina and the other staff. had the best time here. my friends and i have stayed in at least 10 other hostels and this one was the best. best atmosphere and soo much fun.parties every night, though if you like to relax the staff make sure everys out in the bars by 10 so u cn sleep.anyone that has anything negative to say about this hostel does not appreciate travelling and enjoying themseleves.location was also brilliant, not far from the station but also not far from the main sights.beautiful building too, at least 100 tourists take a pic of the building, and the bridge each day.breakfast and dinner was also really good, u got loads!we will most definately be back and our missing everyone there already!love u guys!!sarah, emma, zoe and lauraxxxxxxxxx

Liked: This place was amazing, all the staff were so friendly, and made you feel so welcome, felt just like one big family. Great location, great building, and surprisingly good showers!

Liked: It was a fun hostel, great for social stuff, but not very secure or organised. Meals were included in the price, which was good, but it was still expensive. Great location though. It's a good place to meet people, but not so good if you want a quieter time.

Liked: i can tell you what i didnt like... BED BUGS. BAD!!!!!!!!!!!! just make sure they've sprayed the place recently before you sleep there.... filthy parasites in the beds made me look like a walking disease. however, it was a cool atmosphere, just shame about the cleanliness. oh and the free dinners are hopeless.

Liked: The staff was extremely unorgainzed and the rooms were not clean. Additionally, I was informed that there was no more bedding left thus i had to use one sheet for everything.

Liked: My room started as a 4 bed dorm and by the end of the day there were 20 people in it who were all paying less than i was, not exactly getting what i was paying for.

Liked: Rustic and a bit slapdash, but really great place. surrounded by a canal, connected by a bridge, and with a balcony for people watching, I imagine this is hard to beat. The people who run it were nothing but friendly and helpful. truly wonderful people. I went to Croatia soon after and was sending the travels I ran into who were traveling to Venice, to the Venice Fish. The bathrooms could use a bit of sprucing and more toilet paper, but that is about it. the hostel has a very relaxed feel and really made my stay in venice a special one. Thank you.

Liked: We arrived at the hostel and were greeted by one of the staff ´Jon´ he was so welcoming and friendly it helped start off a great night of drinking games and fun. The hostel is truly suited to younger backpackers with the staff (especially Jon) helping to make the stay perfect. Jon will take you out to the town at night and show you all the best spots to visit.... one of the best hostels we have stayed in, cant wait to go backJosh

Liked: A Venice Fish is everything that is described and more! The staff are exceptionally helpful, always going out of their way to make your stay enjoyable and fun. Very relaxed atmosphere, very easy to meet people. The free breakfast and dinner is great, much better than I expected. Abby and John are awesome... I would definitely return to this hostel :)

Liked: it's quite easy to meet people here, and the place has its character. location wise it is not most strategically located for sightseeing, but it's not too far from the station, so since there are many bridges in venice and you probably will want to avoid dragging your luggage for too long. but the facility and management is not great, not sure if it's the fish's problem, or maybe it's quite common in venice - only two bathrooms for the whole place, rooms are more populated than they are supposed to be, not enough space between upper and lower beds, no lock for the rooms so it's entirely open place. it seems that they just change the place everyday to accomodate as many people as they can. good thing is you are still able to sleep a bit as the hostel ask people to keep quite after 12 and party outside. it's quite expensive for what it is, however, it is difficult to find affordable place in venice. I chosed the place as it is still cheaper than the others, but I am a bit disappointed that it cannot match any other hostels I have stayed in other italian cities.
