Liked: Free breakfast is great.

Disliked: you had to pay for wifi, there was no roof separating rooms from one another, no hot water, bad beds.

Liked: the photos shown in the site are very different from reality.

Disliked: The shower elas ice cole everydayy, André staff didnt do anuthing to fix it.

Liked: it was almost perfect, it was very easy to arrive from venezia sta lucia station, just pick the 4.1 vaporeto, the view at the night was amazing!, only 5 minutes to piazza di san marco. very clean! and cosy, i have a very nice night of sleep and rest. the breakfast was pretty decent.

Disliked: when i arrive i got the surprise that i needed an affiliation card for some hostel international stuff, it was only 3 euros but anyway

Liked: Nice location, quiet, away from the tourist spots but beautiful, supermarket nearby, access on boat :) It was a part of Venezia but still not quite center of it in a good way.

Disliked: I had a big suitcase and I had to go up the stairs till 3rd floor. Maybe I could have asked to change the floor but ... breakfast was simple and not much choice even though it was quite a big hostel and people are around. Could be improved. The light was off at 10:30pm ish?? wasn't it too early?!?!

Liked: The bar was cheap. That was a good deal.

Disliked: The safety. Anyone could enter at anytime. You didn't need a key to get in and that was worrisome. Also breakfast wasn't the best either. Just a roll or cereal.

Liked: When you buy the 20 hours of wifi, it is 20 hours of use, not continuous. That was a happy surprise, as I wound up staying three nights instead of one! Good food, cheap drinks, pleasant atmosphere, gorgeous view of the city!

Disliked: Unfortunately, it IS on an island, which means that the only access is by boat which between 9-11 at night is a bit difficult. Also, the walls don't go all the way to the ceiling between the dorms so you can hear everything.

Liked: The beds are comfortable, and there are lockers in your room that you can keep your stuff safe in. They serve free breakfast. Not the best in the world but it's free and they also have a well prized bar.

Disliked: You have to pay 3 euros to use the wifi for 20 hours. It wouldn't be so bad because you can also print of papers, but the internet is really slow at times and often needs to be reset. They claim hot showers but they must have been all out hot water at 9am because I had to take a cold shower.

Liked: It was a good location and the breakfast was nice and it was a good price.

Disliked: No hot water made it pretty miserable. The first floor smelled like sewage. It was pretty noisy in the rooms because you could here everything from all the surounding rooms. You had to pay for wifi. The people next to us got this plasticy stuff instead of sheets.

Liked: You can meet and chat with other travellers on the ground floor cafeteria area over breakfast

Disliked: -CLEANLINESS. The bathrooms were cleaned only once a day, so every morning expect the tiny bins in the female toilets to be literally overflowing with used tampons and pads by 5pm. It was disgusting. -FACILITIES. the hot water system failed and many people just didn't shower during their stay. One woman in our room who braved the pain of the cold water ended up getting bronchitis. I went without a shower for two days and many of the girls washed their hair in the sink. -STAFF. the staff at the reception had a bad attitude and didn't seem to value customer service -NOISE. It's near impossible to go to sleep before midnight because you could hear all the noise from the neighbouring rooms.

Liked: Nice location, safe & good breakfast.

Liked: It was a place to sleep, which served it's purpose. The staff at check in and check out was very friendly. I had to purchase a bus/boat pass in order to get there, but it was worth it because I got to see some other islands that I probably wouldn't have gone to. There were lockers to store my things, which was nice. Breakfast, although simple, is included in the price, which is really great.

Disliked: The rooms were huge and definitely a bit rundown, but it was definitely live-able for a night. It was definitely a little pricey for the quality, but it was the cheapest in Venice.

Liked: you get fresh bad sheets in the beginning, there's a nice room where you can sit with other people. The hostel is not in the main tourist island so you can eat cheap pizza there and make contact with venezians if you want to =)

Disliked: The bedrooms are really big and you can hear everything even from the neighbourrooms so it's hard to sleep. The bathrooms are not really clean.

Liked: I really liked the location of this hostel, it was a nice home base on the lesser-traveled island of Guidecca, where there were fewer tourists and more local Venetians doing their thing. The hostel is an easy ferry ride away from the main island, so buying a 24 hour ferry pass was the best option for us. I liked the included breakfast, croissants and cereal, juice etc. The staff was helpful and the place was clean. Restaurants around the hostel on Guidecca were cheaper than on the main island in our experience so that was nice.

Disliked: 18 euros a night was a bummer, but its Venice so its acceptable. At 10 in the morning you have to leave so the cleaning lady can clean, so you cant sleep in too long. Breakfast also ends at 10 so get up at 930 at the latest if you want it. All in all it was solid.

Liked: Good quality/price. Quite clean for a hostel. A good cheap place to stay only to sleep and visit.

Disliked: The price on the website wasn't the price we had to pay once we were at the hostel. Very bad surprise. The place is quite far from the train station (about 45 minutes of boat), but very close the Plaza San Marco.

Liked: The staff were really friendly, it was right next to a boat stop. I loved having the free breakfast, and it has a beautiful view. Good value for money

Disliked: The bedding given wasn't adequate for winter, especially as I had a bed next to a very drafty window. It's annoying that you can't have charge of turning the lights on and off, especially in our bit only one of the bedside lights worked. The place is more set up for school groups rather than a youth hostel - especially as the common room seems more like a school canteen

Disliked: it didnt have a kitchen or some sort of living room to chill out. one room was very close to another. rooms were separated by a very thin layer of wall so it was hard to sleep at night when next door hostel mates were chatting...

Liked: EXCELLENT service and very close to central area without being in the crush of the city, across from the boat metro station to get around, very clean rooms, comfy memory foam mattresses!

Disliked: The shower was very difficult to manage because you basically had to walk out naked.

Liked: The hostel is close to the major sites, there is public transport close and comes at regular times, it was easy to find, beds were comfortable.

Disliked: There was no hot water, everything else is what you would expect in a hostel.

Liked: It was a perfectly perfunctory hostel but it had the distinct feel of a school dormitory. The lights come off and on at a certain time, although there are lights by the bed. Like at a school trip, the showers and toilets are all in a big room together, so its a bit awkward getting dressed after a shower. When I went there was hardly anyone in the hostel, so it didn't really have much character, but I can imagine that when it is full it would be very loud at night. Not much choice at breakfast, only cereal or a bread roll with jam etc, but then I wasn't expecting a 5 course meal. Its a perfect acceptable hostel, but you really do get what you pay for.

Disliked: It isn't on the main island of Venice, which means that you need to get the waterbus to it, which is pretty pricey. It was fine at first, because if you're under 30 you can get a cheap 72 hour card, but if you are planning to stay in Venice for more than 2 nights, it would work out cheaper for you to stay at a more expensive hostel on the main island, because the waterbus is 6.50 a trip.

Liked: Great potential, big space, lockers.

Disliked: Overpriced...well is Venice i guess , big potential to be very good hostel, but miss lots of small things like no soap to wash hands, expensive and slow internet, poor breakfast for the price...
