Liked: Location is very good; main shopping and walking streets just a few steps away. Still quite peaceful street. Staff was helpful and spoke rather good english (not including ladies who served us breakfast, they were very lovely still). Room and courtyard was very nice.

Disliked: It wasn't very handy that the reception (tourist info) wasn't in the same building nor in the same street. It's not a big flaw though, just different than in some other hostels. Breakfast was basicly good, but it varied a little between days. First day we got great bread filled fith tomatoes, but not the next day. Eggs were hardly boiled at all. Kiwi fruits were far too overripe. Also, one morning we needed to leave early so we thought to eat breakfast as early as it should start, but there wasn't anything ready at the time there should have been. A little poor soudproofing.

Liked: The location was almost perfect. Il Cortiletto is within easy walking distance of the shops, bars, restaurants, beach, port, railway and bus stations.The area in which it is situated is full of character and well lit at night.

Liked: Nice place located near center of the town and train station. 5 km to the sandy beach. Very nice staff.

Liked: the helpfulness of the staff when we needed a taxi. i called around 930pm and he arranged a ride to the airport for us.

Liked: The hostel is lovely. The courtyard with the banana tree is very pretty. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the owners friendly and helpful. I would strongly recommend it.

Liked: We (my boyfriend and I) stayed there only for two nights ut found the owners and the lady employed there to be lovely. They were really nice and welcoming and the breakfast was very nice. We would love to go back! By the way, I recommend going to the island of Favignana for a day and hiring a scooter. It's good fun!
