Liked: A cute little villa, with a family feeling. Clean rooms with air-conditioning and private bathrooms. Internet for a small charge.

Disliked: It is a cooking school (which isn't advertised on the website), so you are unable to use any of the facilities, and the breakfast is very pricey due to this!

Liked: OMG..BEST PLACE I'VE EVER STAYED.....EVER! My boyfriend and I are recommending this place to everyone. We have friends going to Sorrento in a few months and we told them they have to go here! So first of all, you cannot call Mami Camilla a hostel, it is a B&B all the way. It is family run, there are babies and Chihuahuas running around the grounds, which makes it really authentic and just makes the whole experience so much more fun. When we first got there, the daughter told us that they had overbooked the hotel and they were so sorry. They gave us the option of either staying in a dorm for free or they would give us the same rate at a higher class hotel down the street. We chose the other hotel, which was beautiful and the daughter actually walked us right there and got us checked in. She also invited us to breakfast the next morning. Breakfast is PHENOMENAL! We can't stop talking about it! Mami Camilla is also a family-run cooking school so they serve little desserts that were made the day before for breakfast (muffins, danishes, cakes etc.). There is also cereal, meats, cheeses, fresh fruits and breads, homemade jams, jellies and OJ. Also, cappuccino and coffee! We also signed up for the cooking school dinner where they serve you food prepared that same day by the students. Well worth the 18euro. They have big cozy wicker couches and chairs, big open reception and the breakfast table is one big long table to you can eat and talk with all the other guests, so unique!~We also say that you HAVE to go on the Capri cruise with Mami Camilla and not with some other tour group. They leave at 9:30am and the family has 3- 35foot cruisers to take you out to the island. The ride was awesome and then they leave you there for 2-3 hours to explore Capri. We suggest taking the bus over to the Anacapri side (we were the only 2 on our boat who did) because it is totally worth the extra time and cost. Capri is crowded and touristy, whereas Anacapri is more laid back and CHEAPER! haha. We then took the boats all the way around the islands and anchored at the green grottos for a swim. We went in 3 different grottos and it was best experience of our entire 3week vacation! The white grotto had jellyfish in it so no swimming and blue grotto is owned by the Capri government and costs 14euro for 3mins. Don't bother, the green are just as cool AND you can swim in them!! Our actual room was a private rooftop cabin up all of these stairs with private bath. Coolest stay ever! It is is San Agnello and is about 10mins from S.Agnello train station. Lots of food around, 2min walk from the beach and great snack bar that is on the cliff looking over the Mediterranean. You can sit and have a pizza and beer with the most amazing view you could ever ask for. San Agnello is only a 10 or so min walk from Sorrento and it is not as touristy.STAY HERE!!!!

Liked: As it was the low season the staff upgraded me to a 2 Bed Private En-Suite Room at no extra charge upon my arrival therefore excellent value! Breakfast costs 5 euros but consists of home-made bread, conserves, cold meat, yoghurt cereal, coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice so well worth it. Evening meals cost 18 euros for 3/4 courses and are cooked by guests who are attending cooking classes at the hotel but were definately some of the best food that I eat during my time in Italy. I would highly recommend a stay here!

Liked: Best hostel I stayed at on my trip. Home like atmosphere, a little removed from Sorrento but the walk takes you past some of the most stunning views of the Amalfi coast, and St Agnello is a much nicer place to stay in my opinion. Nobody there when I arrived so they moved me into a private room. And most importantly, it was peaceful and quiet. I'd be hard pressed to find a night I spent in another hostel where I could say the same.

Liked: Wonderful Italian Family atmosphere, upgraded from dorm bed booked to single room with ensuite, as not busy- very nice.Dinner served from cooking school is amazing and well worth $18Euro.Great breakfast for $5Euro. Wifi only in reception area, not a hostel enviornment -its a family run hotel. Walk to town 20mins, buses irregular.Best thing the food.!

Liked: I didn't want to leave, this was a great place, I will go back for sure. Free wi-fi, I was upgraded to private room so not sure about dorm side of things, but the staff were so helpful and great. The food was amazing too, I didn't do a cooking class (couldn't afford it) but everyone who did seemed to love it. The boat trip to Capri was great. Within walking distance to Sorrento, about 25 mins, so not right in the heart of it all, but still close. Easy to find from instructions given, lovely place!

Liked: 10 minute walk from st agnello train station. 15-20 mins walk to Sorrento town. we were upgraded to a private room which was spacious although it was right between the kitchen and common room so a little noisy and night and early morning. staff helpful, wifi access. the day trip to capri was OUTSTANDING - don't even bother trying to compare it to other tours on offer in sorrento (we checked and nothing came close) - the trip is all day on a private 10 seater yacht with young private guide. you have 2 hrs on capri which isn't really long enough but the rest of the day was spent swimming around the grottos of the island - do it!

Liked: This place was fantatic! It was our fav. hostel of our entire trip. The day excursion to capri and the grotto's was amazing! Breakfast and dinner are well worth the money! Eating dinner every night with the other guests was the highlight of our day. The dorm room only had a single bathroom available, but it wasn't too much of a problem. There is a local pier where you can swim just 5 min walk away. Great was to cool off.

Liked: This place was awesome! About a fifteen minute walk to the local train station, but nice area. The food was faannntastic! And the staff were more then willing to help you with anything you asked them to!

Liked: The family that runs the place is wonderful! We didn't take cooking classes, but at the meals at night and they were amazing. Great place to meet interesting people. Definitely take the boat tour to Capri - my favorite day in all of Italy.

Liked: It was the most amazing hostel i have ever stayed in..my friend and I got a private bungalow for just 28 euro each a night...it was clean and neat.....the hotel is more like a resort with amazing property..lemon groves, plum trees, alot of nature...the staff was unbelievably nice and very helpful..definitley have the dinner its not only an amazing meal but a great experience having dinner with other guests...the breakfast is incredible as well....I dont recomend going to capri without taking the tour the hotel offers..you are taken on yacht for the day and it was probably the best day ive had in italy!!!

Liked: This place was amazing. Everthing was beautiful. The people were very nice and helpful. The food was amazing. Everything was very clean and well kept! They offer a tour around Capri, which is AWESOME, and it is 10X better than the regular tour you would get otherwise. I woud recommend this place to anyone.

Liked: Dinner was great. They also gave us a 4 bed dorm istead of a 12 bed which was a nice suprise. Is a little out of town, but an easy walk and is nice to be in a quieter location
