Liked: The Casa di Antonella has "hostel prices" with the "bed and breakfast" feel. I really enjoyed my stay and I definitely recommend it for travelers who want a comfortable stay with reasonable prices. It's conveniently located in the center of town and just a short walk to the Duomo and Il Campo. The manager, Fabrizio, was really friendly (and he speaks English). Fabrizio picked me up from the train station and drove me to the Casa di Antonella-- which was really kind of him to do. He saved me 15 minutes of walking (or an 8 euro cab ride.) In the mornings, Fabrizio cooks breakfast (not just a "grab and go" type of meal most places do-- but he actually set places at the table for guests to enjoy breakfast.) The beds were comfortable (had a comfortable mattress pad and down blanket.) Towels were included, and the wifi was fast and reliable. What's not to like?! I'm a single woman traveller, and it's hard to find a place that I feel safe and comfortable in. However, I can honestly say that the Casa di Antonella felt safe to me (both inside and outside) and Fabrizio was very kind (and not the least bit creepy!). I highly recommend this place! I was impressed with the service-- I wasn't expecting a place so inexpensive to be so comfortable.

Disliked: It wasn't the Casa di Antonella's fault, but I had some trouble falling asleep on Saturday night. I think there is a dance club in the neighborhood and I could hear bass music pumping until the early hours in the morning. I suggest you bring some earplugs (or drink a full glass of Chianti) if you're a light sleeper.

Liked: The room was very comfy, bed was comfy, and there was quite a bit of common space. Location was great, right in the centre of the city, easy to get to everything. Clean bathrooms, hairdryer available... Not a bad place to stay.

Disliked: The kitchen is very difficult to cook in - it's not that there isn't a lot of space, but there isn't much room to place things - makes cooking a bit difficult. The host wasn't overly friendly upon our arrival, but most people speak wonders of his helpfulness - maybe he was having an off day. Seemed nice enough, though. Make sure you know you are climbing 3 flights of stairs to get to the B&B!

Liked: Location is very good! Super friendly and symphatic stuff! Good breakfast! Comfortable bed!

Disliked: Hard to find because there was no sign above the door outside. Only small text in a summer.

Liked: Very close to everything there is to see in Siena and Fabrizio was very helpful in marking things on a map for us as soon as we got there.

Liked: Fabrizio the caretaker(?) was very friendly, kind, helpful and made a delicious frittata for breakfast. It was right in the middle of the old part of Siena so easy access.

Disliked: The stairs were hard with luggage on arrival but manageable.

Liked: The property was centrally located and our room had a really nice view. The owner puts out a really nice spread in the morning including making espresso (after requested instead of the instant coffee). The bed was comfortable and warm and clean.

Disliked: The bathroom was on the other side of the hostel, which was inconvenient. It gets rather chilly at night, and the walls are very thin in the hostel.

Liked: The room is spacious and very clean. The location is excellent, just a few minutes walk from the bus station, the super market and various attractions in town. The owner is very helpful checking the bus/train schedule for us to visit the other city. He also recommended a good value restaurant. We will recommend this property to anyone plans to visit Siena.

Liked: Stayed here for three days and it was a fantastic place to stay in Siena. We stayed in a room which had a balcony and a brilliant fresco covering the ceiling. Room was very clean as we're the shared bathrooms, both of which were cleaned daily. Fabrizio was really helpful and friendly suggesting great places to eat in Siena and was always available to help! A fantastic place to stay, very close to the main streets and il campo and very safe and secure. Would stay here again and recommend to others!

Liked: Lovely clean rooms with frescos on the ceilings. Owners are also nice and helpful. Breakfast is good and location is central.

Disliked: If you have a lot of luggage, think twice as the apartment is located on the 3rd floor and there is no lift. On Sat nights, it can be quite noisy as there is a bar below but the noise died down at around 1 am.

Liked: Situated in a lovely old building with frescos on the ceiling. It was very centrally located.

Disliked: It has a shared bathroom, also lots of stairs so if you have heavy bags it is a bit of a chore, but we knew this before booking so can't complain.

Liked: The location is very good and from the windows you can enjoy nice view on the old city, we had view on San Domenico Cathedral and other nice small street. The armosphere of the hotel is very friendly, it is more like family flat and Fabrizio serve you every morning delicious breakfast.

Liked: Free wifi, owner was cool, good kitchen, very relaxing.

Disliked: No airconditioning only a fan, lots of stairs with no elevator, so tough with bags, and owner is barely never there, so if stuck with something you have to wait for him to return or ask at breakfast basically.

Liked: Fabrizio, the host, was warm, accommodating, and helpful. We had a private double with shared bathrooms, but there were plenty of bathrooms so we never had to wait. The atmosphere was low key but great. We didn't pay for breakfast, but boy was that a mistake. When we saw it laid out the next morning we regretted not paying the extra euro or so. Wifi was strong and the room was well-sized.

Disliked: The property is well labeled, but we unfortunately got lost despite the directions. It's only a small thing, but maybe the directions that come with the confirmation could mention the street you have to turn on to get to Via del Terme. We foolishly didn't realize Termini and Terme were different and there's a Via del Termini with the same house number very close to the hotel. Again, this was our fault, but slightly clearer directions could help travelers in the future.

Liked: Great location between the main bus station in Piazza Gramsci and the Duomo and Campo -- easily reachable by bus. Clean, decently-sized rooms and two shared bathrooms, which is enough to go around. Full use of kitchen. Easy to meet people, especially at breakfast, which is around the big dining table in the living room.

Disliked: Depending on the others staying, noise might be a problem, as our room directly faced the living room with little sound isolation.

Liked: Friendly staff , real italian atmosphere, cosy inside. Breakfast with all the guests around a large table, fresh and tasty. It's possible to pay with credit card, the owner let us leave the luggage after the check out time.

Disliked: Shared bathroom. The third floor makes it really dificult if you're travelling with lots of heavy luggage.

Liked: Great location in the city. The staff was helpful and their was a kitchen available.

Disliked: The only issue we had is we stayed on the weekend and there was a noisey bar below our room that was open until late so we just had to put headphones with our ipods on to get to sleep. Some rooms are away from the bar side and those guests had no problems.

Liked: Fabrizio was so great! He made us feel like we were right at home. Amazing breakfast spread (with eggs!) There were beautiful frescos painted on the ceilings, beds were comfy, and the rooms were nice and quiet even with it's location being right in center of Siena. I read it was voted top 10 safest hostel in Italy and it definitely was. You have to walk up 5 flights of stairs, which I can understand might be a bummer to some people, but Siena is so hilly what difference does it make. We will be coming back for sure.

Liked: the location was perfect right into the heart of the historic center. the rooms where really clean smelling nice! the ceilling of our room was amazing! for siena (that everything is so expensive) it was a normal amount of money to be paid. fabrizio who is working there is really kind and offers to help with everything.

Disliked: there was noise at 4-5 in the morning from the outside when the bars where closed. there is no elevator in the building as it is very old.
