Utilized as a prison during the time of the ancient Republic of Siena, L'Albergaccio B&B is a historic, medieval structure dating back to the 13th century. Having undergone extensive restoration, the building has maintained its original appearance.

With a number of different accommodation options available the L’Albergaccio Apartments is renowned for its warm hospitality and that little bit of extra service. It is the ideal location for the travel stop-over, as a base for that family holiday or for travel groups. Our units accommodate singles, doubles, twin share and families.

Rooms: if you are looking for a single or double nice room with particular medieval characteristics, bright, refined with care with “terracotta” floors, “Siena travertine” and parquet.

Apartments: completely new, bright and very comfortable, from one to five people, with fully equipped kitchen, one or two bedrooms, large living rooms and bathrooms with shower.

Location Information

The Albergaccio is an ancient historical palace, built in Middle Ages and used in medieval republic as a prison, maintaining during the centuries the original ancient name. It is situated in country, close to the historical centre (only 3 Km. from the city-walls).

L'Albergaccio is located 2, 8 Km far from the historical centre, collecting to the heart of the city by minibus "Pollicino"(bus-stop 50 m from l'Albergaccio). It leaves every 15 minutes, and arrives at the Cathedral or close to Piazza del Campo in 5-10 minutes).

The Albergaccio is a perfect solution for couples, groups of people and families, a good starting-point to visit easily the city of Siena and the other town surroundings.
