About Sixbeds
Clean, quiet and comfortable rooms in the heart of Rome. Just a few steps from the Coliseum and the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, just in front of a subway station, and very close to the main train station.
Just get out from the front door and enter the subway station "Vittorio Emauele" (5 feet from the door!).
BREAKFAST:
We serve italian continental breakfast, with daily fresh croissant and coffee or cappuccino or tea included in the price.
Accommodation Information
Sixbeds offers different kind of rooms, in different apartments located in the same area.
Sixbeds itself is an apartment of 3 rooms, one bathroom and a kitchen is available with electric kettle, tea, coffee and infusion facilities, fridge and microwave oven. Bathroom is shared, and has bathtub/shower, hair drier, shampoo, and soap and bath foam included. In all rooms there is a TV/Radio and personal safety box. We provide for bed linen, towels and cleaning, all included in the price.
Superior rooms with private bathroom (could be en-suite or not en-suite), are not in the same flat but in the other apartment we manage, just across the street.
The Budget private double room is a pretty small room with a French-size bed (smaller than a queen size but bigger that a single one), ideal for couples that want to stay close to each other in the night and pay less for the day.
Breakfast is continental and consists in a coffe or caffellatte or cappuccino and fresh croissants, served daily directly in the apartment.
Location Information
Very central: Just outsie Vittorio Emanuele subway stop.
Subway is really cheap (1,50 €, no matter how long you run) and allows you to reach every important point of the city centre, i.e.: Piazza di Spagna in 5 minutes, Vatican in 9 minutes, the Lateran 2 minutes, etc. You can even use subway to get to the beach (45 minutes) or to the archaeological ruins of the ancient roman harbour Ostia (50 minutes).
We are just over the top of Colle Esquilino (one of the famous seven hills), in an area called for "the heart of Rome" by writers such as Carlo E. Gadda, and Amara Lakhous. Roman nobleman Mecenas built his gorgeous villa here; today, people from all over the world here walk, work, and enjoy. The ancient Arch of Gallienus (3rd c.) and famous restaurants Trattoria Monti and Agarta e Romeo are next to our door. Events, concerts and festivals occur very often in the park of next square (piazza Vittorio), few steps away. All around, dozens of stalls sell flowers. Shops, supermarkets, snack-bars, the most inexpensive discount in Italy ("MAS"), and many little coloured and happy knick-knack shops surround the area.
Also: 3 blocks away there is Fassi, one of the best and oldest ice cream place in Italy!
1 block away you can get to Rigoli, with his delicious pastry (very known and apreciated in Rome).
